Good to see Obama politicizing Trayvon

It is called an eye witness with statements on record. A lot more trustworthy info than whatever you want to here sharpton claim. Zimmerman deserves his fair trial. It blows my mind why this even has to turn into a race issue.

It has because of a possible racial slur on the 911 call.

Just as a side note, I don't understand why people like Sharpton and Jackson do not focus their attention on African-American justice. Why do they not demand an arrest or better investigation into the Florida A&M band since there has been no arrest after a band member was beaten to death. There are a ton of things they can be doing that are helpful to African Americans, yet they would rather play the victim card. Hard for me to take two hypocrites seriously.

They're extortionists pure and simple.

I don't look at it as a race thing at all. Zimmermans 911 call in the opinion of a lot of experts throws the stand your ground law
Out the window.

As someone who defends false arrest claims based on application of this law, I can tell you that there are no "experts" on it. Case law is sparse because, when someone is granted the immunity there is not going to be a thorough appeal. You can speculate why ....

Should be an interesting case.

I just find it funny how people accuse the media of bias, and then the articles they post are a lot of speculation and innuendo.

Nobody is going to 100% know what happened because the kid is dead.

Ergo police focus on what they can actually prove.

Funny how the media and activists ignor the accused and the eyewitness accounts and make up their own versions of the events.

Another topic we can discuss is geraldo's point on attire. He is the father of two minorities, and I think he raises legitimate points. Whether fair or unfair, it is natural for someone to associate hoodie and baggy pants with crime. You honestly mean to tell me if you lived in a community where you were having problems with break ins, you wouldn't be suspicious of a guy (no matter his race) that you never seen before wearing a hoodie and baggy pants? Zimmerman should've heeded the dispatcher but geraldo brings up great point about attire.

obviously tvols, you are a racist

Haha. When a lot of crimes are seen with people wearing hoodies and baggy pants, it carves it into your mind. Would be like accusing a kid of being a bigot when a white guy with long hair and a trench coat made you nervous at school.

Jeez, remind me not to hang out near your neighborhood.

I have seen interviews and read stories with conflicting "eyewitness" accounts. It's hard to know what the truth is, but I do believe that at the very least, Zimmerman acted in a reckless and negligent manner. He was clearly told by the dispatcher not to continue following TM but he did anyway.

I just view it as a point worth discussing. Geraldo's statement has some validity.

I just think we open up a whole new can of worms when we allow people in a position of power to openly make generalizations and stereotypes about someone to justify whether or not they are a threat.

wonder if obama will make any statement about the white boy who was caught on fire by some black kids?

yeah, we all know the answer to that.
