Here's the letter. He'll be gone soon. That's how this usually goes:

Gator Nation,

I wanted to let you know that Billy Napier will continue as head football coach of the Florida Gators.

As we’ve seen these past several weeks, the young men on this team represent what it means to be a Gator. Their resolve, effort and execution are evident in their performance and growth each week – building a foundation that promises greater success next season and beyond.

UF’s commitment to excellence and a championship-caliber program is unwavering. In these times of change across college athletics, we are dedicated to a disciplined, stable approach that is focused on long-term, sustained success for Gator athletes, recruits and fans.

I am confident that Billy will meet the challenges and opportunities ahead. We will work alongside him to support any changes needed to elevate Gator football. As college athletics evolves, UF is committed to embracing innovation and strategy, ensuring the Gators thrive in today’s competitive landscape.

Gator Nation has remained strong, showing up game after game to stand with our team. This loyalty creates an incredible environment that inspires our players to compete with heart and determination. Now, I call on all of Gator Nation to continue standing behind Billy and his dedicated team while we work together to build a championship program.

Go Gators!

So what happens if Florida fires Stricklin? (a real possibility) Housecleaning.

I think Billy is already, and will continue to turn Florida around to what they used to be. I would presume to snort, chuckle, and giggle at him. He's in a talent reach state, he has an AD who backs him, and while the SEC is now tougher with its new additions, keep in mind, we sort of lucked out in beating Florida this time around. Beware of arrogance, beware.

Keep up the good work Billy!

If I’m being honest- I’ve seen some good things from Florida this season. They just don’t have the horses or discipline.

Im gonna go out on a limb and say Lagway had some influence on this Napier news.

I also don’t think he plays this weekend.
The latter is a shame. I felt pretty confident you’d get a game among the murderers row of UGA, Texas, LSU, and Ole Miss, maybe two with a lot of luck, but not with that poor kid who can’t run and throws worse than he runs at qb.

Eh, I realize he is a true freshman, but he has not been good outside of the Kentucky game. And lest we forget that Richardson was a much more talented QB and he was very mediocre in the same offense.

That’s why I said next year, not this one. He’ll go into 2025 with experience, having already taken lumps that Nico had not taken heading into this year.

Lagway was the #1 QB recruit in the 2024 class for a reason. He’s oozing raw talent. It won’t be so raw next year.

Freeze will be the only SEC coach fired this year -- maybe Venables too

Auburn has been a mess for to long. Freeze will get a couple years I think.

If Venables is out Huepel needs to call him asap. Even if it’s a year as an analyst that’s worth the $$ IMO.

I am counting it as a W cause I ain't a wuss. Scared fans like you make no sense to me.
He could technically either shiver in a puddle of piss in a corner or burn massive bonfires and tattoo his own face while roaring BY FIDDY! all season and it wouldn't make any difference .
