Greg McElroy

Did Vitello make excuses for one of his players for hitting a college girl, because that would be truly awful if he did, and I think he should be fired!

šŸ™„

Think he was pretty quiet about the Brandon Miller accessory to murder and Coach Oats covering for him situation as well.

Funny how those situations are A-Ok for Greg and the Gumps, but Vitello celebrating was ā€œclasslessā€.

Donā€™t even care what that blowhard thinks. Weā€™ve got a Natty!

...and yet again you guys bring opinionative media to discuss like it has meaning. It's pointless. Just ignore the old style talking heads.

Oh yea so embarrassing McElroy. I guess McElroy wasnā€™t embarrassed when bama had a head coach betting on and throwing games, because thatā€™s the exact definition of class. What a šŸ¤”

That was your baseball coach mr ā€œif that was my guy Iā€™d have a talk to himā€. People who donā€™t watch baseball shouldnā€™t talk about baseball. I was having such a hard time today when I was watching the parade and the news caster is like ā€œwasnā€™t it so great to see Kirby get those final 3 outs?ā€. Mam, with all due respect, please shut up

Thatā€™s not what he was referring to. CTV threw the ā€œsuck itā€ sign on national television. Greg is kinda right in his take, IMO.
I just went back and watched it. I donā€™t see how anybody can take all of that away and make a value judgement based on a quick gesture unless you already just donā€™t like the guy. If that was a problem, every spontaneous celebration is an issue.

Yeah. I think CTV should keep that kind of stuff in the clubhouse, but Iā€™m not sure if heā€™s capable of it. Also think McElroy was a bit harsh.

You evidently didn't listen to his take then. You seem to be hung up on the "suck it sign".

I agree that heā€™s over the top, but McElroy just needed to say that heā€™s not a fan of Vitello and leave it at that. He looks dumb pretending that itā€™s the celebration that really created his opinion. Itā€™s ridiculous for a guy who played for Nick Saban to act like Aunt Bea getting the vapors over a head coach being demonstrative.

I donā€™t want him to keep it in clubhouse and he doesnā€™t need to. Players love it, fans love it and most importantly Danny White loves it. You might want to find another baseball team to cheer for because CTV is not going to change and frankly he doesnā€™t need to.

What got me was implying that Hugh Freeze of all people was an example of class.

Oh i certainly didnt listen to the bammerā€™s hot garbage to find out what he said. I already know that heā€™s a hypocrite. Being inappropriate on tv is being inappropriate. Doing a Suck it motion, which probably half the people watching probably donā€™t even know because it originated from wresting and saying chit on national tv during a celebration is much less offensive than using a four letter word on tv, accidental or not. Both are significantly less harmful and disrespectful than profanity laced tirade after profanity laced tirade in front of a camera at countless media sessions and all the time on the field.

lolā€¦ it was the most bizarre thing ever to bring up Freeze and Pearl. One called prosecutes on a state issued phone. The other is well known for being a foul mouthed cad that cheated on his wife, lied to the NCAA etc. He could have literally picked 100 better examples.
