Griffith Saying On The Radio That...

If you have to read message boards so badly, just go on when you played well and avoid when you're not. Right now he needs to stay far, far away.

Nah, he's newest tweet:

Swiperboy

LOL so I successfully filtered out my lame followers..ANY more lames please EXIT the room...click unfollow please. Wats good to the real 1s?
I looked in there earlier and he deleted all his pictures. Replaced his information with "?" and spammed a bunch of Swiperboy songs and videos on YouTube. His last post was "LOL peace". Considering his newest tweet that you posted, sounds like an internet meltdown.

He needs to stay away from that stuff if it's getting to him. Sounds like it's too much of a distraction as it is. I hope he's able to turn it around.

Yea, I noticed all that too. I like him as a person and like following his tweets, but if this stuff is affecting his job as a basketball player for UT, he needs to just stop with tweets and music for a while.

I'm going to have to agree. He seems like a good guy, nice/friendly and he communicates with the fans and stuff. But you have to question his effort both on and off the court. He's a decent athlete, nice size/length and athleticism. But it's obvious, he needs to put in alot more time in the gym. He's capable of playing well, he just needs to change how he plays the game. He really shouldn't have been playing as much as he has been but we had to. Sucks it all had to go down like this. Hopefully he works his ass off and is able to contribute.

I personally feel all the hate is unnecessary, but that's just how it is with big time athletics. Bruce shouldn't have told the media that Renaldo is affected by what is written about him on the internet. Pointless and unnecessary.

I don't give players whose careers here are essentially done and will probably be playing at some Cal State Northridgesque program next year enough thought to fluctuate my mood much either way.

Except for the fact that you started a thread about his coach saying that message board comments hurt said players' feelings. Or, maybe you were just proud of yourself, thinking your buddy Bruce was talking about you? Either way it makes loads of sense... :eek:k:

Since you're about making sense, tie the crap you just wrote to mood for me, since I missed it. Linguistics just don't seem to e working for you. Maybe made up and after the fact quotations will help.

Whatever, man, it says exactly what it says. I made a typo and fixed it; changed was to way. If you look at your post, you did, as well. Linguistics is a field of study not a group of things, so it should read, "Linguistics just doesn't seem to be working for you." Nice try though buddy, it's working for me and not for you...

Aside from the fabrication about a typo, this made no sense whatsoever. Next time you choose a field of study, find a strength. It'll take serious diligence, but you have it in there.

I think that might be a little overly optimistic.

I was simply pointing out that Tanning Bed has moved on from crying to Griffith about how tough the fans are on him to decrying the effect criticism has on the eggshell psyche of one of his bust recruits. I don't care if Woolridge sobs or laughs because of what's written about him.

Someone should tell him that most sports fans can't even name three players on their favorite team! Not every fan is as die hard as the ones on these forums and chats! Most of us come on these things because we want insider info and a place to gripe where someone actually knows what the heck we're talking about! I defended him the other night and I'll do it again! He wasn't even suppose to be playing PF and since Tyler was dismissed and Negedu's incident, he's been pushed to the 4 out of necessity and he doesn't have the necessary bulk to rebound down there with those guys! We've seen plenty over the last few years that a lot of the points from the four position come in man-to-man dribble drive or putbacks. Both of those are not his strengths right now! His strengths would be accentuated in the open court or with a backcourt player who could drive and kick!

You know what Woolridge looks like he could do well though?! He looks like he could run and shoot wide open threes and trap and do all the things he was recruited to do with his athleticism and length that we don't do anymore because we don't have the depth, muscle, and athleticism in the front court (-Negedu and -Tyler Smith) to play the style this kid was recruited to play!
There is only one problem with your analysis...Woolridge isn't in the paint taking shots. He's 6'8" and out 20 feet from the goal shooting 3 pointers that clang off the rim, backboard, etc. When he plays the 4 position like he is supposed to then we give him a break.

i would hate to hear what you all had to say about our players if we were 6-19. I hate reading all this negativity about each player and how they dont meet your standards, yet I still do for some unknown reason. try walkin in their shoes for a day. yall remember what it was like to be 19-20 yrs old, hold down your academics not to mention try to impress 20,000 people 2-3 days a week?? Not easy...shut up and enjoy a great year :)

....except that our college education wasn't provided free of charge on the merit that we could at least draw iron from 15 feet.

If I remember correctly, my academic scholarships were contingent upon my maintenance of a reasonable GPA. Should I have fallen beneath that standard, then the criticism and/or relinquishing of my scholarship would be expected.

Oops...blew my cover...I forgot that this thread pointed out that anyone who criticizes UT basketball must be a "trailer park redneck." Back to my fried spam bologna sandwich.
