If if were illegal and carried stiff penalties for me to sell a gun without a background check I would not do it. The hole is on the other side of the argument. I think the point is laws were made to be broken, and stacking more redundant laws on top of each other won’t prevent them from being broken.

It’s illegal for a felon to be in possession of a firearm, they know they are felons and having a gun is illegal.

Can they vote? It's a legit question. What guaranteed rights do you want to exclude them from? And their voting is far scarier than them having a gun. I'm all for them doing both once they have completed their sentence

Bureau of Justice. At else 40% of rapists, 60% of robbers, etc etc has priors.

Personally, I think very few crimes are committed by responsible gun owners with legally obtained weapons.
