Guns don't kill

Those are the questions we should be asking. You could regulate how many guns someone buys easily. Painkillers are legal, but owning a certain amount is not.

Thats a BS answer. Your basically saying "I dont know"

How could you regulate how many guns someone owns?

Simple question, Mr. KnowItAll

No, since that's not true. Where do you think most of the guns from the black market originally come from anyway?

So because there are criminals that do wrong we should inhibit the rights of all citizens?

I guess you are pro 18th amendment then?

Eureka you're on to something. Just the other day I was doing 125 in a 35 zone, and I didn't hit one person. I must have bought one of the tamer cars.

So you advocate driving recklessly?

None of the pro-gunners have advocated using guns in a dangerous manner.

I think you are not giving enough weight to the resolve of the criminals that look to obtain them.

Im not sure a limit on law abiding citizens would change that situation much.

I think you're putting too much weight on criminals vs. non-criminals. There's limits on how much cough syrup we can buy. Sure some big-time Meth dealers will still get it, but it deters many other people.

Yes, duh. So are you unless you're gonna start arguing I could safely own nuclear weapons. The question is where the line is not if there is one.

Are you made because you cant cook Meth anymore?

You sure bring up Meth a lot

Getting catty. We regulate cough medicine pain killers all kinds of things. Why are guns so different?

Once again, the 18th amendment to the Constitution was a good thing and the 21st was bad?

I am not the one callng people "Dumb"

Cough medicine has a shelf life, guns made in the 1700s are still good, so how do you regulate how many guns someone owns?

Yep, those law abiding gang members arent going to get them from Mexico and use them or sell them for more profit.

Yep, they dont sell dope because its against the law either.

Banning them will only turn law-abidding citizens like me, into criminals. The SOB that tries to take my guns will have hell to pay. No lie!!

Nothing should ever be illegal then?

Also you say its Okay for the Military, Police and FBI to have guns, but the public cant have too many guns? How many guns can the cops have?

There are already regulations and way too much at that. You're not going to regulate guns into being as safe as a pillow nor hard to get as nuclear bomb. The end of your reasoning is to ban all guns, even by police. It's not like you've invented this line of thought and we all know where it ends. You're given an inch and you going to want another inch and another inch and...

Just give it up. Don't buy guns, don't do anything stupid to someone with a gun and avoid bad neighborhoods. Chances are, you'll be fine.

That is where the weight should be placed. If there is an issue with guns, its getting them out of the criminals hands, not the non criminal. If not this is nothing more than a distaste for firearms, and holds no water.

I am against disarming law abiding citizens to any extent, when knowing that the criminals (who already care nothing for the law) are not gonna stop in their pursuit of them. Even to the point of taking life to get them.

Why does a shelf life matter?

because medicine goes bad and is useless, but I can kill someone with a 1700s dueling pistol. I could kill a whole bunch of people with an 1850s Henry repeating rifle

My point was some people seem to think banning or regulating something will only prevent non criminals from doing it. This is ridiculous. Criminals and non-criminals aren't so easily defined. It's not as if the Mafia are the only people who commit crimes.

That still doesn't matter. It's regulated when you buy it. If you have already bought a certain limit you can't get any more. If it's something with a shelf-life then you would have to wait a certain amount of time before buying anymore. If it has no shelf-life then you obviously wouldn't have a time limit. Or if it was more practical limit the amount of guns one can buy in a certain amount of time. As an example one per...

So there is not much difference in me (with my four guns) and your common criminal?

The existence of people as thoughtless as you depresses me. Only guilty people are ever convicted? Your incredible powers of determining precisely the moment cells become life is incredible. May I ask at what point it is? Conception or day 24.5?

So advocating against millions of babies being butchered is thoughtless. Gotcha.
