Gus Malzahn offered $3 million by Vandy

guess, it could happen

it would be hard to turn down 3MM a year though

another sad fact for Hambone, Vandy's willing to pay more than Tennessee

No, what's sad is the fact Vandy has to PAY that much to get somebody to take the job..It is not a statement about Hamilton not willing to pay, it's a statement that Vandy is so bad they HAVE to pay that much for it to be worth coming there to coach...

John Ingram (son of the late Bronson Ingram and Martha Ingram) has pledged the bulk of the $3.3 million per year that Vandy is waving at Malzahn.

It could be his Duke.

Malzhan:Vandy::Spurrier:Duke

Plus, $3mm/year is good money.

IMHO, there is no reason not to take the challenge unless Vandy wants to lock him up for some protracted period with a prohibitive contractual penalty for Malzhan leaving early. B/c the best exit strategy would be for Malzhan to take Vandy to a bowl game, win it, then jump ship.

Hope this falls apart. TN needs the easy win from Vandy every year. Plus don't want a team located within the state being a hot item to lure instate recruits.

They will still be Vanderbilt no matter who is the coach. The talent just isn't gonna go there in significant enough numbers to make them a real threat

Vandy being Vandy again!

RT @Sean_Callahan: Per AuburnSports.com...Malzahn turns down lucrative offer from Vanderbilt. Where will they turn next?
