Redskins Insider - Shaun Rogers to meet with Redskins

league source confirmed that the Redskins will host three-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman Shaun Rogers for an exploratory meeting tomorrow.

The 10-year veteran was released by the Cleveland Browns and wouldn't have to wait for a new CBA to sign with a new team, but the talks are said to be extremely preliminary and a signing isn't expected to come immediately.

He has a collapsed lung apparently. I think his career is over, sucks.

The Cowboys have a HUGE need at Safety. We were heavily after O.J. Atogwe last offseason, but nothing ever came from it. I haven't read anything that would suggest we are after him again this offseason. Doesn't make much sense because he looks to be a fairly talented S. Maybe the Cowboys aren't as interested after taking a close look at him or maybe they are just waiting to get DB help in the NFL Draft.

But I agree. It would be a huge pickup for the Redskins.

Yeah I believe that he visited the Redskins. I was saying that I haven't read anything this offseason about the Cowboys looking at Otogwe. I just find that weird because we went after him hard last offseason.

I'm hearing Portis is getting released. If we trade away Haynesworth and McNabb.. we'll clear up a huge amount of space.

It looks like we're looking at Rogers (already mentioned) and I've heard we're looking at Sidney Rice.

Yea we will trade Al and Mcnabb during the draft. We may trade up from the #10 spot or we may trade down for more late round picks. We literally can not have any busts anywhere in this draft.

I feel for Portis, but we cant pay him 8.2 Million next year. He is a league minimum+performance bonus kind of guy

IF Von Miller drops to 10(which I don't think he will,) the Skins need to grab him. I'm perfectly fine with grabbing Dalton(preferably) or possibly Kaepernick in the second round.

derrick dockery has been released. No surprise here, he is 31 y/o, was inactive for 10 games and is owed $5 Million next year


Edit. Add Andre Carter to that list of cut today
