This incident won't affect the 2011 recruiting year. But could affect recruiting in 2012, which is so far away that I don't even see why it should be discussed right now in regards to what might happen to Bruce.

Is this a joke? I guess I forgot that the need to recruit will cease to exist after 2011. You do realize that 2012 guys are already being recruited, don't you?

Of course I do. Most recruits in the 2012 class will be making their decisions well after the NCAA makes its decision.

Possible suspension for a year for those "infractions"?

I refer you to Bobby Knight's ominous quote regarding Cal slimeball. There is no comparison. But Cal gets a reality show on fox.

If Pearl is suspended for a year, he will have been off the recruiting trail for two years. Yeah, that won't hurt at all. What planet are people living on?

It doesnt matter. This situation is very unique for a program like UT. MH told us where he stands on the issue. How many times does he have to say that Bruce wont be fired?

I would be willing to bet that even if Pearl gets a year, we will still recruit a class better than what we had before he got here, and what a new coach coming in would get. If you want to play for TN or CBP now you know he will be here. It might hurt with some elite talent but overall with knowing he will be here we will be fine. Just my thoughts!!! GBO:peace2:

I would think that if it's at all possible the best thing for the program would be to keep Pearl, but if he's suspended for an entire year, all bets are off.

You are asking too much of the crowd dense enough to buy Pearl's act. We know having been off the road for two years won't hurt recruiting. Look at the wonders going to Israel instead of being at the summer tournaments did.

No, champ. He said he would be off the recruiting trail for two years. So, let's take it one step at a time. He's off the recruiting trail this year. That's one. Then, if he's suspended, he'd be off the recruiting trail for another year. That's two years.

Didn't you know? The recruiting trail is the hallway in front of Pearl's office. There's no need for coaches to be out on the road recruiting. That's why there aren't any coaches in Las Vegas and Orlando during July. Oh, wait.
