Hat, do you think this is just Hamilton trying to downplay things, or would we really keep Pearl?

I feel like keeping Pearl in that situation would be like our basketball program waving a white flag.

He can recruit this year as long as he stays on campus and doesnt become excessive. Only time will tell if he cant pull recruits on campus.

If they keep him under those hypothetical circumstances, UT's next step should be to drop basketball as a varsity sport. If there's only one guy on the planet who can properly run your program, you don't have a program.

I support the Tennessee basketball program. That's why I don't want our head coach to be off recruiting for two year. Coaches have already tried to steer recruits away from Pearl. You think it will be any easier once they can point to this?

Why would he do that? Why would UT want an athletic director that actually has faith in his school's ability to compete? We're much better off with a bean counter who believes it's all cult of personality and a single coach is much bigger than the program.

No one knows if Pearl will succeed in recruiting this season. or how this team will finish. You've stated your position several times and sometimes its not correct.
