We are a good qb away from being a better than average team. Just got a chance to watch the South Alabama game and the consistency of Worley's inconsistency is amazing. I don't want to hear any excuses about wr's being young. The may be young but they still get wide open occasionally and he can't get the ball to them. I won't go through all his misses but he missed two wide open receivers in the first quarter and threw two picks in the end zone. This game is a blow out with average QB play. This is not meant to be a bash Worley thread but more of a we're only a qb away from being a much better team thread. The two freshman will be ready when the time is right, until then let's chill out and remember all that goes along with poor QB play. It makes it harder on all facets of the game.

Again, I really don't want to bash Worley. The fact is, the offensive schemes seem to be working because the plays are there but we just keep missing them. This puts our defense on the field more often and it's basically the snowball affect from there.

They also don't help a guy out by playing defender when needs be, nor catching every pass that hits them in the hands. It is a two way street.

Yeah Worley needs more Prozac than Knoxville pharmacists have to give to him...2 years of extensive psychiatric therapy.....and a robotic laser rocket arm implant...then we might have a serviceable junior QB to work with.

Everyone is off right now. Worley isn't playing well, but he's hardly 100% of the problem.

Agreed. BUT, it's hard for the offense to find any rhythm when the QB is playing that inconsistent. I agree with the OP. We're a good QB away from winning a couple extra games.

No doubt there are many things that contribute to a bad team, but without a doubt the biggest issue we have is our QB. These petty excuses people continue to use in his defense are meaningless to anyone with their eyes open. Jmo

I just keep telling myself that someone will step up by the time we play Auburn, Missouri, ky, and vandy. We are too evenly matched with those teams and we can't afford to continue to have poor qb performances.

I'm just hoping we can win a SEC game before November, but right now what I see on the field tells me that's not happening.

When it became clear Butch wasn't going to put in one of the freshmen yesterday, in a moment I'm not proud of, I wished the Tennessee quarterback would get injured. I should of been more specific. Sorry Jake.

Dude, you never wish anyone getting hurt playing football or any sport. Somethings you just shouldn't put out in the Universe.

Think maybe you could wish for a win this weekend? Be specific.

You never know how things are going to turn out.
Just heard Matt Simms mentioned as possible starter for next NY Jets game.
