When it became clear Butch wasn't going to put in one of the freshmen yesterday, in a moment I'm not proud of, I wished the Tennessee quarterback would get injured. I should of been more specific. Sorry Jake.
Just watching late in the game huddles it seemed that Worley had lost this team. Sadly when that happens it's almost impossible to get the respect back. If the freshman are not ready then it looks like there is no answer other than suffer through the situation we are in.
The Great Freshman Hope! I don't hear much more clamoring for the last Great redshirt Freshman Hope after less than 2 Qs in Gainesville.
Too bad our stupid coach can't see what the all of us experts on VN can. Well, we can't actually see it, we just believe it. After all none of us have even been to practice!
"The Backup QB; Favorite player on a bad team" ... no truer words were ever spoken. lol:
IMO he misses those receivers because he's throwing to a spot on the field not an open receiver ! And that's what is being taught! Sometimes it is better to miss than give the receiver a reward for a mistakeWe are a good qb away from being a better than average team. Just got a chance to watch the South Alabama game and the consistency of Worley's inconsistency is amazing. I don't want to hear any excuses about wr's being young. The may be young but they still get wide open occasionally and he can't get the ball to them. I won't go through all his misses but he missed two wide open receivers in the first quarter and threw two picks in the end zone. This game is a blow out with average QB play. This is not meant to be a bash Worley thread but more of a we're only a qb away from being a much better team thread. The two freshman will be ready when the time is right, until then let's chill out and remember all that goes along with poor QB play. It makes it harder on all facets of the game.

Patterson was simply too fast. Even though he ran bad routes, he had separation and created a large throwing window. Worley is working with a much smaller window.
Not even making excuses. In fact, I completely agree that Worley is performing very poorly. I just don't think it's a valid comparison when you bring up a guy with world class speed and quickness vs what we have right now. Most of his bad misses have been to wr's that are wide open, regardless of how slow they are. I can't understand why people continue to try and make excuses for him no matter how far fetched they might be.
Our d sucks bc it is slow and we won't win until we fix this

Maybe. I think I remember that we were 1 dropped TD pass from Worley to Da'Rick away from beating SC a couple years back, no?I honestly believe his misses would be even worse (if that's possible) if the wr's were faster.
If we had South Alabama's QB, Matheny, we'd be in the hunt for the SEC East crown this year IMO.We are a good qb away from being a better than average team. Perhaps he's not comfortable with the system or he and the receivers are not on the same page with timing at full game speed. Worley has been woefully inaccurate, but I'm honestly hoping it's not because he just sucks. If it's not because he sucks and they just need to be on the same page, then it will eventually click and we win a few more games this year. We'll see.
