Hate to beat a dead horse but...

the play calling is VERY predictable - that read option is not working - they know when Worley is going to pass and they bring the pressure. Worley running the ball was a step up - notice what happened when he didnt do it in the 2nd half - Its simple Jones doesnt have the players or Oline for a SO offense ---- just like Clawsen in 08

Disagree... and Jones has made none of these arguments. He's mentioned the lack of depth and speed at DB. Not once has he complained about the depth or talent he inherited on the OL. He has mentioned the youth at WR.

And if he didn't like the builds and athleticism of the players he inherited... then please explain why the players he has committed for 14 are so similar. I don't really see any of them who are noted as possessing elite speed. They appear to have similar size, quickness, and speed... except the OL commits who appear to have LESS athleticism than this year's starters. Even in the secondary, he appears to be recruiting more of the same kinds of players who are starting. That tells me he likes his starters but not the back ups.

I hope it doesn't happen, but I've got a weird feeling Worley will get hurt in the first half on Saturday. Call me crazy I guess..

I hope not too because I think they're getting closer as a unit to being a decent group.

BTW, the read option worked very well Saturday and Worley looked good running it.

That I agree with -- they should have given him a few more carries -- things will pick up when he gets maybe 5 carries a game - I dont know the reasoning of just 2 carries but it did throw the D off

Its still a top notch O line but they havent been trained for this type of offense -- the 14 recruits will come in and learn Jones system from ground up since all 5 of this seasons OL will be gone - the backups will remain backups

We are a good qb away from being a better than average team. Just got a chance to watch the South Alabama game and the consistency of Worley's inconsistency is amazing. I don't want to hear any excuses about wr's being young. The may be young but they still get wide open occasionally and he can't get the ball to them. I won't go through all his misses but he missed two wide open receivers in the first quarter and threw two picks in the end zone. This game is a blow out with average QB play. This is not meant to be a bash Worley thread but more of a we're only a qb away from being a much better team thread. The two freshman will be ready when the time is right, until then let's chill out and remember all that goes along with poor QB play. It makes it harder on all facets of the game.

Did you also notice in the first half the OL let a lot of pressure get to Worley?

Just maybe his mistakes are correctable, did you think about that?

Again, there are other issues but none of them have anything to do with his inconsistency when it comes to missing wide open wr's. luckily some of the passes are so bad that no one is even near the pass so it doesn't get intercepted. He's like jeckl and Hyde, he's made some outstanding throws and he's made some absolutely horrible throws. I've never seen a qb so inconsistent.

You missed the Crompton and Simms years ? How about the Kentucky game in 11 and the Vandy game in 12 how was Bray in those games --- watch some football before posting

Your a real clever fella, pat yourself on your back once you pull your head out of the sand. :) I won't make anymore comments about Worley, I will simply stand behind my opinion that we would be a much better team if our QB was at least an average passer with average athletic ability.
