I’ve read press releases over the years where other coaches say nice things about new hires at different schools, so including a quote by Corbin isn’t a big surprise to me. I wouldn’t be surprised if for the announcement of Vitello‘s hire that Dave Van Horn said something nice.

I tried finding that press conference but had no luck.

This guy had nice things to say about him though.

Your first sentence says much. It wasn’t apathy, that means somebody cared before. Baseball was an afterthought, it wasn’t even something to talk about. Raleigh didn’t endear himself in the community at all, Serrano did that well, it didn’t work out, but he tried. Sometimes people get it wrong, Raleigh was one.
