There are certain decisions I have disagreed with, but the biggest weakness of this season is the rush to try and complete arcs. Not every outcome has been disappointing, but the story to get there often is. We're used to more detailed, in-depth writing, and this season has had little of that. She'll have Tyrion put to death by dragon fire. Jon has to do it-- probably when Dany decides Sansa is a traitor too.
I don't know what I wanted or needed but this show was not it. Maybe I'm processing like when VOLS get beat by Florida and I start wanting to fire a coach, and then I get over it.
Man...I expected the turn of Dany, but it was so damn predictable.
When GoT first started, the journey was just as enjoyable as the destination. They've forgotten that this season and skipped over the journey. They were setting up for the Mad Queen and definitely not hiding that. I was surprised at the carnage she dealt though.
I see a lot of issue with “predictability” this season and I just disagree.
It’s not been “Red wedding” like but this show was always going to end up in battle; there’s no way to make that premise unpredictable.
For my own curiosity, what would have been creative? Dany wins a close battle?
What outcome here couldn’t be predicted?
She has always been dark. She has always had that in her. Her brother was an ass but she enjoyed his murder. She has no issue burning anyone she doesn't like. We just liked who she was opposing. Now she gets dark on some innocents and she is suddenly different?Man...I expected the turn of Dany, but it was so damn predictable.
