HBO's "Game of Thrones"

So he could go beyond the wall and no one care or go to Winterfell and no one care?
I think part of the agreement of his release was he couldn't return to Winterfell. The only thing that truly binds any of it is honor. What really kept any of the Night Watch from fleeing? We know those who deserted and were caught were executed, but what kept everyone from fleeing? All I can think of is personal honor.

And I'm not being a jerk..I have read some awesome fan fiction endings that in no way could be considered "happy" endings..These writers suck completely..

Like I said..This was garbage.
Ignoring the path...If someone told you 7 years ago:
1 stark kid is ruling the south
1 stark kid is ruling the north
1 "stark" kid found his peace in the wild
1 stark kid became a badass warrior and explorer...

Would you have been ok with that scenario?

By the way...I predicted something like this outcome years ago..I just had Jon and Dany both dying trying to do good.

I always said Sansa and Tyrion along with a few others would be left to pick up the pieces of a broken Westeros..nailed that part...

This ending is stupid though..they didn't even give Jon the chance to either die or be Aegon the Abdicator..either one would have made better sense..

Don't get me started on King Twig the 1st.

Yes..but the route would have been different and made better sense.

id say, spinoff city. HBO gettin greedy and gowna cash in!

This ending makes me wish GRRM was a younger man. Lots of room left for sequel material. Felt rushed and not completely satisfying but I love the series so still liked it....just wanted that "Holy ish what just happened!?" feeling and definitely didn't get that.

Initial thoughts though...

Lamest killing of a villain of all time in Cersei.

The writers didn't do Jon justice at all this season. "She's the Queen!" Good grief...enough dude, she just burned down an entire city.

And at the end "it doesn't feel right!" Find another Wildling redhead chick and move on.

Circle stuff as Jon's path more or less takes the same as Eddard Stark in Season 1. Just minus the neck shave Ed Stark received.

Redemption on the Ghost side of things though. I'm glad that worked out.

More circle stuff, Sansa saying in Season 1 "I always wanted to be a queen." Well, ya got it, girl. I liked how that played out though. Decent bit of writing on that part for her to move the North away peacefully.

I chuckled when she told Edmure Tully to have a seat.

Bronn as Master of Coin? Okay...they lost it there. That dude had the lamest part of the entire season. He is one of my favorite characters and they really didn't do him justice this season.

Ser Davos fits right in at the end though, as does Brienne. Her writing about Jaime was really cool.

The whole Drogon flying away bit seemed...odd. I thought Bran saying "I think I can find him." was a bit funny.

What green eyes did Arya close? 'Bout that... Very unsatisfying end for Arya.

You think they could have done another five minutes and had Jon and Grey Worm in an epic battle?
