I think I would have liked it if Dany had died fighting the night king (and we saw Drogo, like in the dream) , and Jon went to Kings Landing to fight.. I guess he lived because he was the only one who could get all those people together to fight the dead. That's all I got.

It is actually logical in the sense of someone out from left field taking the throne, but at the same time, he is someone out from left field.

Another objection based on a plot twist coming out of nowhere, which is a very legitimate objection.
