Was it me speeding, the tractor behind me or the guy in the opposing traffic?

The question was how fast were you actually going at the time?
My destination from Memphis was about an hour and a half drive. I normally try to maintain the posted speed limit but that raises another legal question, was the speed limit posted near that location in the middle of nowhere? I don't think I can state with any certainty exactly how fast I was going at that instant in time and I question their ability to determine my exact speed with all the other vehicles in the frames also travelling at speed as well.

Anyway it's looked at, it's BS to me. Cops used to walk a beat back in the day. Then, for some reason, they're all riding around in cars. Now, they have cameras to do the work. Robots are next, maybe. 1984........we've arrived. And, on another note, I don't remember seeing a fat cop way back when.

What's the fine that they want you to mail in? I'm guessing it's pretty low. Maybe $50 or so?

All of what you are saying is how lawyers got the Charlotte cameras compeletly shut down. In fact they lost money on them. You'll need a lawyer though. IMO.

They set the fine low so most people will just mail it in with no questions asked. To me, raises the question as to accuracy on their part. I think it would be thrown out in a court.
I agree. I'm wondering if they are counting on that and if you protest they will say, well nevermind then.

Here's another interesting tidbit, the offense occurred in Medina which is not far from Jackson in west Tennessee but the payment processing center is in Knoxville.

It was not the opposing traffic and it was not the tractor behind you. I thought there would be more cars surrounding yours. I think they got you.

Now you're a speeding cam expert? Dang Nerd, you gonna hang me. That's the da coming out in ya.

They sub all that out to a contractor. The contractor installs and maintains the cameras and, also, processes the fees. So, the contractor gets a cut and the county/city/state get a cut. $50 seems to be standard everywhere I've been. Same fee for running a red light.

When are you taking the bar exam?
II took the Registered Nursing exam 21 years ago. I was very nervous waiting for the results.
What is the pass rate percentage on the first try? I would imagine much lower than the RN exam.

Hman, I've known several people who've gotten one of those tickets in Funky Cold Medina. It will not effect your driving record. In fact, if you don't pay it, they cannot suspend your license or issue a bench warrant. It a civil case. If unpaid, they will send it to a collection company and report it to the credit bureaus. So, if you already have a 485 beacon score, start your grill with the ticket.

On second thought, the ticket was issued to the company you work for since the tags are registered to them. I see a payroll deduction in your future...:)
