Why with Kitchens?Or Kitchens.
Either one is what I expect. Either one and my confidence takes a nose dive.
He and Pruitt are friends going back to their playing days at Bama. IMO that's why he's being brought up so much. Why with Kitchens?
Everything I've read about him, he's been very impressive with the turnaround in Cleveland's offense with hardly any time for implementation? Honestly asking because I don't know anything else about him other than those articles.
Shouldn't have to worry though, all those same reports suggested no way that he doesn't have an NFL OC position next year after his performance. But catch me up on the negatives if you don't mind.
This. Having a former sec head coach with success who beat bama more than once controlling all aspects of the offense while Pruitt can focus on defense while monitoring the rest of the team is pretty big.I can believe Freeze is very much in play because Pruitt doesn't want to micromange the offense. Freeze coaching that side of the ball helps him to focus more on the D
When I saw the way Pruitt was berating him during the Ky game I figured something could be up.What's interesting is reading that Helton hasn't been happy at TN. That's not good if it is due to Pruitt restricting him or something along those lines.
Pruitt, Vols expected to be searching for new OC

I don't really follow the NFL. That's why I thought there may be more info. I just started looking up kitchens when I first heard about the possibility of Helton a couple of weeks ago. So far, all I found is great reviews. Doesn't mean there's not more.I'm being a howler monkey. I haven't kept up with the NFL for the last two years so I'm not familiar with how he's doing at Cleveland, I just know they aren't doing well. I've also read that he and Pruitt are/were friends from Bama. I'd be more confident if he were to hire someone that Ive know of that's been successful, that wasn't one of his friends.
But I my opinion is worth what you pay for it.
Darren McFarland 1025.5 The Game in Nashville. Look at the end of their morning show (The Morning Drive) at around 9:50 or the begging of his show (Darren and Daunic) at 10ish.Source? Could this be what some players were referring to when they were saying "not everyone was all in"
Problem with Freeze and the Cleveland O is that they are pass heavy. I think we would be in much the same situation as we were with Helton with the run vs. pass offense issues.I can believe Freeze is very much in play because Pruitt doesn't want to micromange the offense. The people moaning over Freddie Kitchens are uninformed about his reputation and coaching acumen. He has coached three different positions at the pro and college level (QBs, RBs, and TEs). Since being named interim OC for the Browns, Cleveland has averaged 33.3 ppg (they had averaged 21.1 ppg over the first 8 weeks), and have finished 2-1 with wins over Atlanta and at Cincinnati. Baker Mayfield in those 3 games is 65/88 (73.8%), for 771 yds, 9 TDs and 1 INT. Bruce Ariens, rumored to be a potential candidate for the Browns HC job, has already said that he would want to keep Kitchens as OC in Cleveland. Why with Kitchens?

They've won 5 this year and their first on the road in like a zillion years. They lit Cincy UP yesterday.I'm being a howler monkey.
