Heupel.......Please realize it's time to fire your buddy Halzle

I want someone to show me some tangible, real
proof that Heupel has and does call ALL the offensive plays. No opinions. Legit proof.

I can’t take any poster seriously who can’t spell the head coach’s name correctly. I just can’t do it. It’s maddening. My 2nd grade teacher would be absolutely sick to see the butchering of his name. Let’s be better as a fanbase.

Or, someone start a new thread with all the ways you’ve seen “Heupel” misspelled. How many different spellings? 5…10…maybe even 15? The floor is open.

Git over it and quit being such a looser :D

The lack of deep shots in the game was disappointing. Ga tackles too good in open space to expect big plays from missed tackles. I realize staff doesn’t have great confidence in the OTs holding up but you gotta try a few more than 2 for heavens sake.

Idk what version of JM you were watching but he did not improve from the time he got here. He consistently was late on decisions and on throws. If it wasn’t for his fastballs he would have been even more behind on his throws. His deep balls had no air under them. I am starting to see the same thing from Nico. JM had potential it no coaching. Nico is improving some but it still doesn’t take away that the offensive scheme is atrocious.
You must've forgot of how he looked before he got hurt, and HH took over. He was way worse.

I can't tell if Nico can or is allowed to change the play at the line of scrimmage. Sometimes it looks like he is but not sure. Maybe they are not comfortable with him doing that just yet.

Wow, why is there a massive overreaction thread after every loss? Ya know, if the AD listened to the suggestions in these threads.. everyone on the defensive staff except for Garner would be fired by now along with half the offensive assistants. How many fire Banks, Martinez, Pope, Ellarbee threads have there been the last couple years.

Did you watch the first drive. This is what the future NICO will look like with more experience.
I did see it. His best drive of the season. Just saying Freshman or not, he should be showing more of that in game 10. And he shows great promise for the future. I got no issues with a 10-2 season if they close out with losses to only GA and Ark. Ark is not the patsy one would think by their record. Seemed the receivers stepped up this game but he missed a fair share of passes. I get we were playing UGA at Athens, and it was a tall order. We played them quite well most of the game. I'm OK arguing the refs made a couple calls that swayed the momentum in favor of GA and killed a couple key drives when were moving, or extended a drive of theirs that we were holding at bay. Two times I recall ended up serving them the 2 touchdowns they won by. Facts are, and this is not a dis on Nico cause it was a complete offensive "effort", but if not for Tim Banks this year keeping all opponents but 1 under 20, we're probably looking at 4 losses easy. Sampson is one of the few that did his job this year to help Nico out. Props to Bobo in this game. His scheme was brilliant.

You actually think Halzle is calling a play, relaying it to CJH, then CJH relays it to Nico, then they line up and adjust to the defense? There isn't enough time for that. That's not how it works. And he doesn't need a play call sheet to repeat what's being called in his ear. Idk why this is so hard to believe. Watch Andy Reid, watch Lane Kiffin. It's so completely obvious when a HC is calling plays. I'm not saying Halzle isn't in his ear recommending plays or giving updates on personnel, but this offense is CJH's baby and it has been the entire time he's been a HC.
I didn't say I think Halzle is calling plays, I said it's a possibility. You can shout to high heaven "it's so completely obvious" all you want, but that doesn't make it gospel truth.

Bottom line, none but those closest know what the real truth is. For fans to sit around and proclaim it's definitely this guy or that guy, like they're part of the staff, is just silly.

As soon as they full game replay is posted, I will show you why we struggle this year compared to 2022. On the pass that was high and behind Squirrel, the left slot receiver had 4 or 5 steps 20 yards further downfield for a walk in TD. Nico doesn't see that yet and Hendon did. Hendon was a lot older and had far more experience.

We are handcuffed by a freshman QB, albeit a good one but not one who fully sees the whole field.
Look at the receiver at the top, 3 yards open and Nico doesnt see it. Hendon saw those and dropped dimes, Nico doesnt YET, I believe he will

Heuple cannot keep on holding onto this STRICTLY VANILLA CALLING wannabe OC. This is unacceptable to all VOL fans and to the university. Do yourself a favor, give him whatever money is in his contract and go get a great OC. I posted earlier this week that it would come down who could call a better game..........and I was right. Bobo beat Halzle, and almost every other offensive , defensive coach. Our special teams were the only coaches that did their job tonight. You will never have a SEC championship , let alone any other championship until you get rid of him. To all Vol fans, until we realize this, and more importantly, Heupel realizes it, Tennessee will not win another championship with him as an OC.
And last year it was time to fire Banks
