We just closed a GREAT recruiting season with at least 2 sure thing STARS on each side of the ball, 6 DBs rated 4*, top shelf beasts for both lines....and today, for those who do not follow it...those 2 Portal guys that picked UT today each had UGA, Bama, Clemson in their final 4s...A WR with hints of Randy Moss at 6ft5 and FAST, followed by a beast at DT to pair with Omari Thomas and co on our interior defensive line.

Both were HUGE GETS made even better that we dont have to play AGAINST them on our rivals teams..

Edit: Coach Hype has put together a serious roster in only 2 years by being very smart with his scholarships and the portal. We should solid improvement on defense this season...1 more class like his next season and only UGA, Bama, and maybe the Buckeyes will have more talented rosters top to bottom than us...and we proved this season vs Flarduh, Bama, LSU, and Clemson that with top skill players, we can even beat schools whose recruiting averages/players are thought to be quite a bit more talented than ours...thanks to CJHs superior scheme/tempo

Imagine us after another class with as much talent as this one? Imagine scoring40- 45 points per game like we do...but only giving up 14 or even 20 points a game instead of just outscoring everybody? Thats Championship traits right there. We beat Vandy 56-0 and then bottled a much more talented (on paper) Clemson team to win by 17points even though it was just an average or slightly below average offensive game for us. We are headed there...what a great time to be a Vol!!! GBO VFL WGWTFA

Danny White is a clown. This is a dead hire. It has zero juice. Neyland will be lucky to ne half full. Large majoriry wont support this hire or program.

Reading back through some of the comments was pretty fun . Honestly I had no idea how he’d do but I was basically done at that point anyway and didn’t care who they hired. Josh Heupel saved Tennessee football folks. If we had made another dud hire….I just don’t even want to imagine because Tennessee would never make a splash hire, Huepel just worked out.

How many of these are you going to bump? I can understand one but bringing back multiple threads? Everybody knows that opinions were split when Josh was hired. To keep bringing up the negative takes is redundant and a waste of time. He was an accomplished coordinator but was an unknown entity at this level so negative comments weren’t a surprise. There were even questions about how UCF was progressing when he was there. Danny White had enough confidence to hire him at UT and that is to his credit. It turned out well. That’s all I need to know and I don’t need a regurgitation of the negative posts. They were wrong and White was right. Nuff said.

I feel this has been a very productive use of time. Surprised I didn’t post something I lived to regret. Highly entertained by those who did.

Yeah man, I’m not a heupel doubter. Never have been. I feel like he’s an OKG for Knoxville and he wins. It’s what we could dream for.
