Hey alleged Christians ....

So what do you have to say about those that once believed, but snapped back to reality?

If they have truly been saved, they may stray from God but they will turn back to God in time. That is the reality.

Again it is very hard to explain to the unbeliever. I can tell you that anyone that has truly been saved, can tell you and show you the spot they were saved. That is a very special place and it never leaves the heart of the saved. If it were 50 years ago they still know the spot they were saved.

They have that right.

That they do. Congrats on the response that makes the most sense.

I would say they are deluded and have rejected reality.

Same to those that possess beliefs in religions other than yours?

Why insist that your view is reality and others are not?

Can you see the big sky daddy?

Just laugh at the play on words......

I did.

I did.

Yes. People who have a different religion from me are delusional. If I didn't believe that, then why would I have my religion? Lets see: I think that other religions are right even though mine says explicitly that it is the only way. I must be a moron to hold those two contradictory beliefs. Since I am not, regardless what some may think, a moron, then I don't hold contradictory beliefs.

Can you see a quark? Do you believe in them? Have you ever seen a black hole? Absence of visual evidence is not proof. Just as astrophysicists use inference to pinpoint black holes, a person can use inference to 'see' God.

Your mockery, displayed in your use of terms like 'big sky daddy' shows that you are actually uninterested in intelligent conversation on this topic and that you are just picking fights. Does it amuse you to mock others?

Didnt Bachman adopt a bunch of kids? She is crazy, but doesn't seem to be a bad person.

Inference to see god based on what? Theoretical physicists point to mathematical equations that are encouraged to be constantly tested. Christians point to a book that's all holy and cannot be tested or criticized.

Although both are not proven. Faith fills a large void for many, myself included. Furthermore, science and Christianity can go hand in hand.

I've argued that before. I specifically argue with those that say Christianity is the one TRUE religion.

The simplest idea is that nothing comes from nothing. Since there is no possible way to explain the existence of matter or energy using physics or any other science or theory, then we are left with some motive force that exists outside the universe. That is a large clue that one can use to infer the existence of God. The bible can be tested and criticized. Actually, it encourages testing to determine the truth. Faith is not blind. If you want to test the bible, compare the history it talks about to what archeology tells us. Never has the bible been proven wrong. There are a few unanswered questions that archeology has not confirmed, but lack of confirmation is not the same as contradiction. I am not trying to convince you that I am right. All I am trying to say is that there is enough reason to believe that blatant disrespect is not deserved. Yes, there are ignorant people who claim to be christians and say and do horrible things. That just means that christians are people, too.

Psalms 39:5 says that man on his best day is vanity. Romans 3:10 says there is none righteousness, no, not one.

Yet Christ, who was blameless, shed his blood for the forgiveness of sins. Then He rose from the grave and was seen by hundreds of people.

Christ then told his disciples to go into the world and preach the good news, knowing they would face persecution.

They believed and did it, and here we are.

Theists select one religion and reject the rest. What they fail to understand is that there is no difference in the religion that they accept and the ones that they dismiss. Atheists take it one religion further, that is all. There is no reason on, above, or below Earth to promote Christianity as a more valid belief system than all of the other dead religions. Theists need to take a step back and realize that their religion doesn't transcend the religions of the past. One fairy tale is as good as another.

So believing in one thing makes one a fairy tale believer?

That's rich.

Assumptions. Lots of them. By what basis do you decide that none of them can be true?

No difference? You see no difference between a religion that demands human sacrifice and one that does not? Wow.

I wish people wouldnt skirt their feelings and just say I hate christians
Posted via VolNation Mobile

Problem is, I don't hate Christians. Trust me, it'd be a lot easier if I had a reason to say that. I just dislike the pious ones that force it down your throats. Let people believe in what they want, but please, don't use it to interfere in the lives of others.

I see this thread got better.

LG, can you at least get a mod to take "alleged" out of the thread title. Im not sure you really need that anymore.
