Hey coach worshippers...

Is it your contention that Michigan fans did not criticze their coaches for that performance?

Interesting...
What's your point? Are you implying that you can't criticize the coaches? Nobody is stopping you.

Who's happy? Some of us aren't jumping out the window just yet, but I don't think anyone is thrilled with that second half today.

Do you have something new to add, or is the "we suck" "fire the coaches" rant sufficient? I think it's brilliant threads like this that bother some.

You want to discuss the game or some specifics that are bothering you? Lay it on us.

You need a bucket of bulbs kicking forum IMO.

I mean Alabama should of fired Saban the 1st year for losing to Louisiana Monroe and only beating Houston 30-24.What were they thinking.

I keep seeing you guys whine about all the "crazy" "irrational" fans who dare to hold the coaches accountable for the performance of the team. So, I was wondering if you geniuses could tell me what other major college football programs' fans would be happy with the coaching staff after narrowly avoiding a loss to S. Alabama?

Go on, I'm really curious.

You do realize if u have no qb every team u play is gonna be close .... Why the dumb question

We are good QB away from being an above average team. Right now we have a below average QB. Things could be worse. Prep yourselves for 2010 all over again IMO at best. We'll get our teeth kicked in by UGA.

Call me crazy or delusional....but I don't think so. We just always play our best against Ga. Yes, we have the potential to be blown away....but I think it will be a tight game. I think the Vols play the best game to date. And man will they ever have to. I guess it just goes back to me hating GA so much!

So, by your logic, Alabama should have fired Saban when he lost to La-Monroe his first season??

Sure as hell wish that would have happened!!

Hell, they should have fired Saban after that sickening defensive performance against Texas A&M. Who cares if Manziel is good and won the Heisman last year. He's a defensive guy and that was an embarrassment.

So, you think that criticizing the coach(es) will somehow lead to him/them making changes?

These guys know how to win. Problem is, we are sitting on 10-5 off suit staring at a table full of paint in October.

No, why would my criticism or praise incite them to anything?

I'm just for stating the obvious, like when you see a poorly prepared, poorly disciplined team floundering around with an ineffective game plan, you might attribute some of that to coaching, instead of just coming up with excuses, blaming the players, calling other posters names, etc.

Most coaches who get jobs know how to win (I know recent experience at UT has shown otherwise, but trust me, that's usually the way it happens), it doesn't mean that they'll be able to conquer a bigger challenge like winning in the SEC or rebuilding a program.

I painfully agree. The biggest confusion to me is why we can't find a QB that can just adequately deliver the ball to an open receiver.

Remember last year when couldn't get ball kicked thru goal posts. Amazing what a year can do.

Im just offering an alternative here to most of the threads folks are starting right now, which are just about name-calling and insulting any fans who think that Butch Jones is not doing a superlative job and anyone who expects any sign of progress before 2016.

And starting a thread titled "Hey coach worshippers" is your answer?

What is it that is bothering you? Again, lay some specifics on us. Let's roll up our sleeves and hash it out.

I think fans could have better handled a curb stomping from UGA, USC, or UA than this close call with USA. It's post traumatic stress disorder from the UAB's and Troy's of seasons past.

I think people could handle the bad play on the field if it were'nt for the same crappy read option being ran 80% of the time with the other team knowing the QB is never gonna keep it or the crappy playing calling in the red zone with a QB who couldn't hit the side of a barn standing 10 feet away.

Bull****. It's the same thread with different wording that are yelling that Butch should be held accountable.

Don't even try to spin it.

Nobody should be happy with the performance. But acting like coaching is the only reason the team is where it's at right now is ridiculous.

I'm sorry, but when did I blame the players or call posters names?

I'm just calling a spade a spade. We don't have SEC talent. Honestly, I think they are playing their hearts out, especially compared to what we saw last year.

Butch is trying to get the passing game going guy. He is trying to make Worley own it and make plays with his arm and learn how to close a game out.

You do realize we just lost Hunter, CP, Rivera, and Bray all to the NFL and all but Bray are playing every Sunday now. Throw in Da'Rick Rogers lost too....all NFL level offensive weapons gone. That was pretty much our offensive production last season.

So if your Butch Jones and your cupboard is bare what do you do? Coach up and teach confidence in your current roster because Dooley sure as Hell didn't. Then you recruit your ass off. I would say CBJ is doing everything right so far. But you can go on Suicide Watch for the rest of the year :eek:k:

Welcome to the board. :hi:

Do you have fundamental issues with the read option because it was effective for most of the day today? And Worley did actually keep it a couple times. Granted I'd like to see us be a bit less predictable with it.

It isn't so bad when he does keep it, I think he averaged around 11 a carry when he did?, but I've only seen him pull it 3 times all season so why is it even in the playbook if he is too scared to pull it or too dumb to read it correctly.

(edit) And thanks for the welcome. :)
