Holding my nose and pulling for GA.

Let the big Ten get a natty or TCU we just don’t need another one our rivals getting another natty and Kirby to start a dynasty at the young age of 47 that’s no good for us at all.

Bet Coach and the recruiting coordinator do. Ask Vandy, not all last is equal.
That would make their job that much harder. I doubt CJH and anyone on the staff is hoping UGA wins so that we can be ranked higher. We will be ranked what we are ranked. The loss to SC is ultimately affecting our ranking not a UGA win.

I can't fathom rooting for Georgia or really any other team in the SEC

It never helps us if they win.

Wow, I guess you would relish enough SEC loses so our position in the conference pecking order will fall below the Big 10, Pac 12, ACC, and maybe attain G5 status. That would take some of the shine off our next championship.

I dislike OSU immensely but with that being said it wouldn't bother me if after the game neither theam had enough players left to field a team.

The only thing I'm cheering for in the CFP is for the joke of a team in TCU to get clobbered. It sucks fraud teams like then are pittied upon and get sympathy votes every year but wheb the CFP comes they do nothing. Every year. It's like clockwork.

This^^^ This discussion comes up every. single. year.... and this silly belief that somehow one of our biggest rivals winning the NC makes us 'look better' is just idiotic. The SEC is the second best conference in all of football this year right behind the NFC. The only team's victory that will make us 'look better' when all the dust settles is Tennessee's.

**** Georgia, Bama, LSU, UK, and all the rest. I hope every one of them loses.

UGA beating tOSU is better for our recruiting. Recently we’ve lost more recruits to tOSU than to UGA. The offensive players we want have no interest in UGA and the ones interested in UGAs offense don’t git ours

I don't pull for any SEC teams but Tennessee in any games. And I especially will not root for UGA, Florida, or Alabama under any circumstances.

I do all the time. I pulled for Bama to beat GA for example THIS YEAR. I pulled for AU to beat GA. I pulled for AU to beat Bama.

Guess I made it too difficult to break the code. I will pull for any team if them winning advantages UT. So in truth I am not really pulling for teams to win, but for teams to lose and that requires a victory by whoever they are playing. So I will be pulling for OSU and MICH to lose as early as possible regardless of who they are playing. If they lose big enough we might pass them. No way we are passing GA, so if TCU wins the first game I will be pulling for GA to lose, and for Bama to lose regardless of who they are playing.

I almost ALWAYS root for ND to lose, and since the earrh is not likely to swallow up both teams a SC win is a necessary lessor evil.

Well, I’ve always been a diehard GA fan, so I’ve enjoyed the last few years. No arrogance intended, but it has been a long time coming. I can remember lean years and a few heartbreaks. That being said………..

If I were a TN fan like you good folks, there is no way in hell I’d be pulling for GA. Sure, there have been times that I remember pulling for the SEC when for example USC or tOSU was the talk of the nation, but it just makes no sense for TN fans to pull for GA today. Your competing with us in some of the best recruiting grounds in the country, and Kirby and Co are doing very well recruiting. If I were a TN fan, seeing GA knocked down a peg or two would absolutely trump any sense of southern pride.

Let’s be honest, we are bitter rivals. If we are up you like almost nothing better than seeing us suffer. Same the other way. When TN was ranked #1 this season, there was almost nothing more that I wanted than to win that game. It makes for great football. And hopefully a continued great rivalry.
