It was a bad hire for Dave Hart. I am sorry but this team is nothing like what Pat Summitt would put on the floor. Should of hired the LSU coach. Going to be a long season for the Lady Vols.

I would take Nikki, but that is mainly due to my plan of making her my wife.

Agree about the Lsu coach. This was going to be a massive rebuilding year no matter who was the coach. They have already exceeded my expectations this year honestly beat 4 ranked teams. I will give Holly a chance, even though I hated the hire.

CHW is a true Vol,she will be fine,once this young team get some experience and get another center next year and Izzy didn't look good either,might be back to soon on that ankle

Yeah, I did not agree with the hire but frankly she has the team playing better than I thought they would with the exception of the Stanford game. As someone who has watched the Lady Vols since before they were in the NCAA I can say that Holly is winning me over.

Izzy just made as much progress as any player I have ever seen from last year to this one and Burdick has really improved as well with her quickness.

I am as critical as anyone when we aren't playing well and will call it as I see it. So far we are playing a bit above our talent.

The one thing we have to guard against is developing the sort of mindset that kept the last group from getting over the hump. All I want to see is that we play hard and aggressive for forty minutes every night without being intimidated or backing down.

For the most part we have done that --- but not against Baylor or Stanford when we really needed to. That is what I need to see to be fully sold. It doesn't have to be win, just a well played game where we do not play scared or tentatively for even a second.

Give it a break. The cupboard is full of underclassmen and the older players are margainal.

Team is fine to me. They are young but playing better also Baylor and Stanford have veteran teams right now, We have a winning record so I dont know where you get the idea we are going to finish with a losing reord. I think we can win the SEC tourney this year.

OP, there is NO woman or man alive that could produce a team like CPS.

Not arguing with your opinion on the hire, just pointing out that CPS is a once-in-a-lifetime coach and we should not expect any coach to adequately fill her shoes because they are bigger than Jarnell's real ones

Great, another thread with the under tones of, "We suck and aren't undefeated. It must be time to fire the coach."

It's Holly's first year, and she's got a young team. Our fan base needs to learn more about patience.

With all due respect, the teams from the past 4 years were complete busts from the standpoint of traditional PHS teams!!! When this team is firing on all cylinders, they are pretty impressive! Loosing Draya did hurt, even though she's a freshmen! Just like the former teams from the past few years, the problem is being so inconsistent!! I am willing to wait for a couple seasons to see how Holly really does! Unlike the previous teams, this team is lacking the usual size in the posts that UT is accustomed too. They are extremely young, but they are growing up quickly. They are going to be a completely different team come March!

Yeah, that team that Holly put on the floor that lost to Ball State in the tourney was.... oh wait, that wasn't Holly. If I remember correctly, Pat coached that team. This team is good. It just needs experience. They miss Carter a lot. The team looked different on the floor when she was out there. Izzy wasn't 100% today either. This is a fun team to watch but most teams will struggle against Baylor and Stanford. The team is in good hands. The fans need to be patient and supportive. The big wins will come.
