Hong Kong + the West vs. China vs. Corporations

This is awesome. I hope they sue.
I suspect there are obscure rules allowing security to boot anyone at their discretion.

However, i understand the NBA has revenue involved with China. But this is a bad look in America. And if i know Americans like I think I do, the NBA just opened up a can of worms. I anticipate more signs held by more people around the corner.

It’s a regional sport. I watch the Braves all the time. Just bc you don’t enjoy something doesn’t mean millions agree with you.
People don’t watch it on tv. 162 games is way too many. I did go to a Yankees game about 2 months ago and had fun

The beauty/tragedy of America is that you can sue anyone for anything at any time.

Kerr's Dad was killed by the PLO over international relations. He may have good reason to feel uncomfortable speaking his mind on this situation, especially if he's not that well informed.

Everybody wants to call them hypocrites because they've spoken their minds in the past. If speaking your mind costs you $5 and you do it, then later speaking your mind costs you $50,000 and you don't do it, are you a hypocrite or just smart, consistently making good economic decisions?

LOL

He knows jack squat about guns but has zero issues running his pie hole about them. He’s a hypocritical POS is all.

There is no chance you would be watching if they still played that way. Less skill, less physical talent, slower pace (in the 90's), and hacking was a substitute for good D.

Can you even make it through these "highlights"? The D is pathetic and it's hilarious to see 4 offensive players within 17 feet of the hoop.

I loved the physical defense and the fact that you had to be a man to go into the paint back then. To each their own but I liked the NBA when it was a contact sport.

You can also attend or not attend a sports game. If sports organizations like Pro Basketball think they are safe saying whatever they think, they can go for it.

The Braves make over $400,000 per home game in tv contracts. That’s one of the lowest in the league. People aren’t paying that kind of money if no one is watching.

It's more physical now. Yeah, they've eliminated some of the cheap stuff but the average player is 10 lbs heavier, and consider the slow/fat center/PF is basically extinct, so wings and guards are probably like 20-25 lbs bigger. You could start a 5' 3" PG in the 90's. The average wing/guard in the 90's couldn't make the league today. They're not big or strong enough. Sorry. Jordan was a huge guard and that was one of his great advantages. He'd be average size today.

I’m talking about the tricky tack touch fouls that are called today that in the 80s and 90s were just basketball.

There were always ticky-tack fouls. Did you watch those highlights I posted? You'll see them. That hasn't changed since I've been watching. What's changed is they're harsher on flagrant/intentional.

Now there's a hypocrite. Kerr didn't congratulate China on 70 years of authoritarianism, imply that China hasn't done anything wrong to Hong Kong yet, or call Xi a great leader, but Kerr is "pandering".
Kerr has made it clear he hates Trump more than most on this board!
