Hooker is not a Heisman finalist and you don't want to know who is 🤬

Williams, Duggan, Stroud, and 🤢 Bennett

Seriously? Can any of us be surprised by this? The second HH4H went down during the Colombian Massacre, a huge sigh of relief was heard round the sports world - yes, the same sports world that does not respect UT.

Have not contemplated for one second about watching the HH ceremony since Peyton was robbed of it. That committee can kiss my sweaty footballs

Why did any of you guys ever forget your expectations set on this at all in the first place? This is the national media version of electing the homecoming queen!

I was at the game in Knoxville and we did not rush the field the year UGA beat UT to end the losing streak

Still waiting for you to admit your lie about being in Knoxville when UGA broke the streak when in fact the game was in Athens in 2000 and UGA fans did storm the field.

We can cry about it all we want as we want to hang on to something and not have this glorious season end.
We can't stand it that SB was invited and is even being considered.....why?

See for yourselves...

What is crystal clear, and has been for over 20 years, is that the heisman is an illegitimate organization.

Invited Bennett over SEC offensive player of the yr. A complete disgrace

F that award and Nissan for sponsoring it.
One is awarded based on performance. The other is a political award.

Being disappointed that a UT player didn't get Heisman recognition is like being disappointed that your clothes get wet if you stand in the rain.

Honorable mention all SEC does not equal heisman candidate, no matter how you spin it. He's just a feel good story and the dumb*** media bought into it.

I think the issue is that HH was a front runner or right there with Stroud until the SC game. Once we lost (because of the defense) and he got hurt - he dropped out of the Heisman race in the medias eyes. He deserved to at least be invited.

Bennett was not selected as the top or the second best at his position among those most connected, who know the most about the teams in the conference in which he plays.

Folks can spin the numbers all they want but bottom line those that know the conference did not see him as the first or second best QB player nor at the best offensive player in the conference.

I agree it is like a homecoming contest - flavor of the day at the moment the ballots are cast wins!

I’d rather Stetson win over Williams, the player who paints derogatory terms on his fingernails about his opponents, who chocked in the championship game costing USC a chance for the playoffs… of course Reilly will boost that he creates Heisman winners

I've got a lot of respect for Duggan after watching that Big 12 title game. He looked impressive at the end of the game given that he literally died about midway through the 4th quarter. Don't care much whether the Big 12 is a "real" conference, either... Steve McNair got Heisman votes at Alcorn State.

Who's the best team the Dawgs played? Better yet, what's the best defense SB faced? According to statistics, Kentucky? HH did pretty well against those guys. LSU? HH fared ok against the Tigers as well. Oregon? Did SB face the Georgia and (to a lesser extent) Bama defenses? He did not.

Y'all think his noimination is bad just wait until he's teamed up with Tebow in the Dr Pepper Heisman House commercials next year...........if he wins. Even worse, Peyton's "body of work" for his years of high caliber play was "not factored" into the Heisman Award in 1997 but you can bet your _________ the Heisman voters have considered (even if its in the back of their minds) Bennett's role in the 2021 National Championship!!!

The heisman has always been a joke. UT should be talking about finding room for the third one right now but instead we have none. Its a sham always has been a sham always will be a sham.

I was barely old enough to be "upset/mad - - pissed off - yes I was old enough for this reaction" but when the Horning thing happened, I just never was able to get interested in the Heisman. Beautiful statue, but do you notice, it's of a running type ball player, not a QB. If I were a winning QB I would suggest they have a trophy that portrayed a QB.:p

I figured that Hooker lost the Heisman in Columbia but was certain he would be in the top 3-4 vote getters.

Per Yahoo Sports:

Whither Hendon Hooker?

"Hooker was lost for the rest of the rest of the season to a torn ACL in late November. Even with that, Hooker still has more touchdown passes (27) than Stetson Bennett’s 20, and Hooker had two interceptions to Bennett’s six. What we’re really saying is that Bennett is the odd man out here. Hooker’s passer rating of 123.9 is the second-highest in the nation, behind only Coastal Carolina’s Grayson McCall (126.0), so you tell me how this makes sense."

BINGO!

Heisman Award - going back to the Peyton fiasco - is 100% rigged.

Shame on you dirtbags.

It will be interesting to see how many votes HH gets in the final vote tabulation

The list of Tennessee Candidates in the past and snubs has once again hit a new low.
