What highlights the lunacy best for me is that Bennett wasn't even voted onto the All SEC team.....not even the 2nd team.'
Probably not but all I keep reading about here are numbers. If we're gonna be purely stats driven about it the four are Stroud, Hooker, McCall (Coastal), and Centeio (James Madison). No one here is melting down about Duggan being among the finalists but Kurts Rourke (Ohio), Frank Harris (UTSA), and Bo Nix (Oregon) all have better stats.
Lol . . . No, I'm truly confused about what you mean.Focus. Think about it. If that goesn't work, google it.
His team is likely to win the NC again. He's a former walk on with pretty good numbers and the leader of a great team.Honorable mention all SEC does not equal heisman candidate, no matter how you spin it. He's just a feel good story and the dumb*** media bought into it.
I'm pushing back on poster's knock on UGA for scheduing Kent State and Samford, while the Vols played UT Martin and Akron.Lol . . . No, I'm truly confused about what you mean.
I don't ever knock y'all for OOC schedule. It's not easy putting P5 teams on the schedule when you've got GT at the end every year and every other year you give up a home date to play Florida in Jacksonville.

I don't like Bennett particularly. But I have less problem with him being invited than Hooker not being invited. If I were going to pick a guy for him to replace then the TCU QB would be first and Stroud would actually be second. Point to numbers if you like but he led a super talented team against a relatively weak schedule and lost to the only "great" opponent he played without producing a "Heisman moment".
Yet, you'll continue to respond to my posts.
Well, if you go by the definition of the award: "...recognizes the outstanding the college football player whose performances best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity. The winners of the trophy epitomize great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work." Bennett certainly meets that definition, If you go by stats, as seems to typically be the case, I think you replace Bennett with Hooker.View attachment 521318

Tell us again..... Where's your Heisman finalist QB?
Hooker meets that definition better than anyone, PLUS he has the stats.Well, if you go by the definition of the award: "...recognizes the outstanding the college football player whose performances best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity. The winners of the trophy epitomize great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work." You look like a real dumbass troll defending your boy on a Tennessee message board..Well, if you go by the definition of the award: "...recognizes the outstanding the college football player whose performances best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity. If it's purely stats driven, then yes, there is a disconnect. Going by the definition of the award, he certainly seems to fit the bill. If you're a fan of a QB who has bigger numbers, I guess it bothers you. I don't expect Bennett will win. I think it will be Williams. I want a win over OSU then a win in the finals.Bennett can't even make "Honorable Mention" (meaning that there are at least 3 QBs, just in the conference, that are better than him) but he's one of the top four offensive players in the country?
You're seriously not seeing the disconnect here?
Bowers has 51 more receiving yards than McConkey, 1 more reception and 1 more TD. You think McConkey is also mad?Bowers led that team. most of Bennett's stats are because of Bowers. The only reason he is on the list is because they like his story. He is merely a plug and play QB capable of not fudging up too much and delivering the ball to real playmakers. a serviceable highschool QB could do the same for UGA. I bet Bowers has some real animosity about this, if not he must have good character.
