Hookers draft projection

Where/when do you guys think he goes? When do you think he deserves to be drafted?
Here is my take. He is our first QB that deserves to be taken in the first round in a very long time. I hope he goes to the Saints. Could yall just imagine Hooker and Kamara on the field at the same time?
Doesn't really matter since he's coming off surgery. Whoever takes a chance on him will be getting a gamer at a reduced price. It's his second contract that will tell the story.

His injury and especially his age work against him, but his work ethic and character will have teams looking to add him to their QB room. Hooker is the kind of player whose success really will depend on where he lands, the commitment of the organization to his development and the coaches he has an opportunity to work with.

I believe he will be a late day 2 pick but he could slide to the 4th round. It might sound strange, but his best bet might be not being drafted and being able to pick his destination as a UDFA, although his chances of sticking would be greatly reduced if a team didn't have to spend a draft pick. I'm just hoping he gets to a spot that will give him a real shot at getting healthy and developing his game.

Unfortunately the draft is more off intangibles and projectability than what you have shown me in college. As stated he is older and will miss a whole season due to his acl, this leads me to think he is a late round guy, possibly even an udfa.

Injury, age, and system are going to push him down in the draft. His character and work ethic will get a team to take a chance on him, but later rounds.
As for Richardson and Levis, they remind me of JaMarkus Russell. They will cost some GM their job.

I could see at least one team taking an earlier shot with him. Decision making, character, work ethic, maturity, plus a great skillset of mobility and arm are enticing, especially with the number of teams needing a solid long-term QB.

100%. The size and arm strength the nfl will love. Especially if he can put up near Hooker level numbers. Could be number 1 overall
Yeah that arm, size and a team player is going to be hard for some teams to overlook. That pass to Bru in the OB shows he can zip it in there to get it to his guy.

I don’t know why that’s funny? If you saw a QB that big with an elite arm put up Hooker like stats, you wouldn’t use a high pick on him?

Seems to have great character and leadership skills. I’d take a chance
If Joe stays on the path he's on so far with the time he got this season and OB. He's going high. He put up legit numbers in his playing time.
I think some are still holding on to his over throws while giving Hooker a pass for his high passes and over throws but we were winning and winning takes care of everything.
I think the thing that impresses me the most about Joe is his attitude and how him and Hooker pushed each other to be better

Yeah, not to crap on Hooker (he far exceeded everyone’s expectations), but he’s had his own share of accuracy issues. I think his have been more about throwing off his back foot, causing the ball to sail (different than Milton’s accuracy issue).

Agreed.
Perfect world is for both to get drafted...even better if it's to a team that get's broadcast in my area 🤣 I'd like to see them both playing on Sunday.
Imagine both starting for their team and playing against each other...man...that's pretty a win win 😎

His age will hurt him just like Hooker. He'll be 24 when his draft rolls around. I also think the chances of him having a statistically similar year as Hooker did this season is slim to none. He looked good against Clemson but it's going to take more than 1 game before I anoint him the #1 pick.
