Hookers draft projection

Not shocked at all to see these teams are impressed when they sit down with him. Kid is the real deal. His family did a great job and they are top notch ppl across the board.

The ACL and his age will be some of the primary factors...
He interviews good I'm sure but not being able to workout pushes him lower than he should be.
Some team will take a chance on him though

He's just about impossible to project until right before the draft when team physicians have had a chance to see where he is in his recovery.

Hooker needs to develop his internal clock a little better. Time after time the video shows he had plenty of time to throw the ball away rather than take a sack but the sacks he took anyway. If the play is jusyt not there, throw it away.

His downside is his injury and the deer in the headlight look at Georgia and SC. Some will say he’s a system guy.

His upside is his work ethic, his attitude, his accuracy both down filed and short throws, and his physical toughness.

He will make a roster and will be drafted but I’m guess 3rd to 5th round. He’s a steal there for a team though.

Here's what's going to happen...

Titans will keep their current QB for 2 reasons...
1...He'll reduce his pay and cap hit...
2...Titans will add a 2nd year to his current contract.

Willis hasn't shown much so far even as hard as the Titans have tried to get him going.

Hooker to my Titans in the 3rd round because he simply has far too many really good things going for him and my Titans will then have 2 full seasons to get either him or Willis ready to take over.

You heard it all here 1st my good friends.

He had decent stats versus Carolina. Hard to win when your defense is completely inept.

System guy or not, It takes skill to throw the deep balls he did and hit the receivers in stride. Few QBs have that skill along with quickly, reading defenses, and scrambling away from pressure to hit receivers. He is not only physically strong, he is very smart at reading defenses. I see no problems in him being able to play the game.

I remember when everyone was calling Patrick Mahomes a system quarterback when he was coming out of college. Andy Reed saw right through that.

What will happen to Dobbs

Hooker will be thought of as a system QB and that doesn’t translate so well to the NFL. He is not a Pro style QB. Likely 3rd to 4th round. I mean they have the Florida QB going before him.

I believe he will be First or second round pick. He his too good to fall into the third round.

This is Matt Miller's 2 round mock that came out 2 days ago. Has him going in the 2nd.

That VFL is welcome on my Seahawks team today.
As a lifelong Hawks fan I can assure you Seattle loves em some Tennessee Volunteers. They always seems to have one or more on the roster.
Currently, Justin Coleman, Darrell Taylor, AJ Johnson

He said in the PM Show that he should be released by June/July and a training camp participant. That is a lot faster than I thought, and if the combine doctor evaluations agree, he should go in the first two days for sure. Second round to somebody like the Packers or Lions has a chance. If he slips past that, I think the Dolphins in third also makes sense switch Tua’s health issues. They need a backup/possible starter and Bridgewater is broken. He can’t be that guy.

Almost a zero chance he goes day 1. I think he goes day 2 for sure. Ain't no way he falls past the 3rd round.

Virtually every QB in college is a system QB.

I don't think Milton will be asked to carry the ball very often. If he can complete 68% of his passes, he will not run very much. I think our running game will be better next year, especially if we find a replacement at RT.
Depends on what you quantify “often” as. I think in every SEC game, Milton will/should have at least 1-2 designed QB runs and also the amount of RPOs we ran were pretty high too. If Milton can run for a first down early on, it will put those LBs and safeties in some serious conflict that would open up the run and pass.

I think if his medicals look promising he may go in the 3rd round. Otherwise it will be 4th. He won't see the field as a rookie and will probably have a really good NFL career. He seems to be in the Dak Prescott range but with better accuracy and doesn't fold in big games. Give him a good line and weapons and he is a Pro Bowl player.
Need to look at his face to see how symmetrical it is though.

I hope he goes to well established team. Some many QB's are thrown into the fire and never get a real chance.

Aren't they all system guys ?? I'm thinking QB's that don't fit the system are the ones that flame out..
