Not "hoping to find evidence of a crime." You know better.

There is already testimony and evidence squarely raising the issue. Its not coming out of thin air. Has been a topic and a concern for three years. The American people voted into office a wave of Democrats precisely because the GOP had proven to be the inept lackey of a criminal President. The people have spoken -- they want this checked out.

That's less of an abuse of power, and less dangerous to the US, than Trump forcing top security clearance for Ivanka and Jarred against the advice and wishes of all around him.
