Why don't they revoke that power if they don't like it? They have the power to do it even with a veto by the president.

Which courts? You mean the liberal west coast 9th circuit that tries to set policy instead of interpreting law as it's written? Those courts? The only court that gets killed by the Supreme Court 80% of the time on appeals? Yeah, no need to worry.

Why is Congress "investigating" alleged crimes that supposedly were committed while the alleged perpetrator was a private citizen and crimes that are not related to the alleged's current job?

Because he promised to show his tax returns?

bump - anyone got an explanation for why this would be something Congress should do? Anyone have any examples of Congress investigating political officials about alleged criminal actions taken while said official was a private citizen?
