I was just trying to make a joke about Trippie y’all. Not trying to start a debate on legalizing that stuff. Surely y’all know how much I hate drugs and alcohol. Doesn’t matter if they are legal or not after the torment my family and others have went through.Y'all need to get it together on this stuff. The free state of AZ legalized it, you can too.
Where’s Trippie at y’all?
And I am sure you’re not asking for my opinion.Terrible use of resources - should be legal - but also doesn’t it seem weird that in states where it is legal that there is still an amount you can possess that makes it illegal? Like they don’t investigate and arrest for too much alcohol in your possession despite the fact someone can sit and drink themselves to death in a single sitting.
And I am sure you’re not asking for my opinion.
Completely agree. I am definitely not an advocate for pot but was an avid user years ago. You pretty much hit the nail on the head. Society (especially in the south) is still living in the past. Too many jobs are risk along with money for this to change overnight.I mean sure, I’m asking for everyone’s opinion. This is a public forum.
To me it just doesn’t make sense. Something that can kill you in a single sitting is celebrated while something that makes you happy, hungry, sleepy is outlawed in many states. And even the ones where it is legal recreationally, they still regulate how much of it you can possess.
I mean sure, my opinion is not going to be the popular one. I hate drugs and alcohol. Alcohol destroyed my husband’s life. Drugs destroyed my son’s. They destroyed the rest of us. And we are by no means just a freak family. One was legal. The other was not. So I don’t think that makes a difference. They both were high performing functioning workers. So the people effected were just the family. So I try to stay out of the debate.I mean sure, I’m asking for everyone’s opinion. This is a public forum.

It’s already been laced and distributed around here.I can accept the evenuality that individuals will get the right to consume the stuff. BUT should only be able to consume what you purchase and never be able to sell to anyone else or go under the jail. Sell to a minor for life. Why? How long before we see fentanyl laced pot. Regulate pot like alcohol and move on. Bootleg and go to jail. No free pass for illegally meeting market demand. Grow for personal use? Maybe.

"It would be great to get some clearer guidance from the federal government that would make people in legal markets more comfortable that they don't need to be worried about the federal government knocking at their door," said Tarasek.
During the Obama years, the DOJ issued guidance advising that they wouldn't interfere in states that had legalized marijuana as long as it didn't interfere with federal law enforcement priorities. It was rescinded by former US Attorney General Jeff Sessions during the Trump administration.
