This, that and the fact that most coaches likely do the same, but don't get caught. I don't believe in integrity in college sports any longer.

May sound uncredible -- but read it on here and it was a survey by some credible news source regarding the 10 out of 10 coaches who thought they had violated the call rule in some form. I don't have the time to re -source it but it was done by the news media. Call Hyams tomorrow and let them research it for you.

I read today that CBP -- called and told the parents that if they came by it would be a violation. You can speculate on whether he said --- please come on by --- please don't come by---you can decide if you guys want to stop by---whatever etc. etc. etc.

I think that it was not orchestrated --because he was just having either a house warming party at his new house or a party for one of his kids birthdays or something. Those guys were in town on an unofficial and the rest is history. I am not going to speculate but Shelby or the kids dad likely took the picture.

If I was an interested party --I would be curious how long the kids were at the party. If they just stopped by --- grabbed a burger off the grill and met everyone and then headed out it would be more innocent than if there was some hardcore recruiting going on. I am sure the NCAA has asked these and many more probitive questions and we will get to read all about it in Feb or March.

I disagree: you're posts are lacking logical thought. It is nonsensical to think that espn would try to push down a university who appears on their network football coverage. The idea that espn has any feelings, good or bad, towards ut is comical. It's a business. As for Bruce-what other infractions would you agree merit his firing? If you cannot think of any, then it's a good sign that you are too biased to have a competent opinion on the matter.

it pains me to say it because I've been a fan of Pearl and the job he has done here, but the facts that he knowingly committed violations, told recruits he knew it was a violations (incredibly dumb and arrogant), and then lied about it... he has to go. Unfortunately, I have zero confidence in Hamilton to get any hire right given his piss poor track record. I feel like the one bright spot in UT men's athletics is going to go down the toilet, too.

Personally, I'd rather have a coach where I didn't have defend him against these types of allegations. Does it really matter how many phone calls? Bruce Pearl and MH have done well enough stirring the pot on their own! Your position, that the sportswriter is a liar, is beyond ironic and just stupid. She's not saying anything that isn't true. If you don't like the way MH administers and BP coaches, time for a new MH and BP.

PMC, read more about Sampson.

I can guarantee that Pearl will not get anything like the penalty Sampson got. Dana almost certainly knows that and is seeking to heighten the drama here. That is why this is BS.

Count me in the first option of true fan. This program is FAR bigger than Bruce Pearl. We could get a pretty good coach if he were to be canned.
