If Josh Smith can ball then let him ball! By all the reports and numbers Smith is very athletic and has good hands. I think because he didn't have four stars by his name we assume he can't play.

The coaches may settle on a final group after these first 2 games. Gotta see who makes plays in games. We haven't seen much if any of them in games so who knows which ones will step up and play?

It would be great to see a local product like Smith take off in this offense and shine.

Yeah; Real game playing time will vary, others will prevail all year....just 1st game...I believe Paul will see time also when he is off injured list.

Obviously because 99 is one of the biggest Vol fans on this site...and we all know VN eats its own.


Sidenote: 99 is correct...it's kind of like telling your buddies how hot your new girl is, just before a blind date.

He isn't. I have been reading his posts for a very long time. He just gets off on a somewhat subtle condescension toward UT football and UT fans. He often gets cheered by negative Vol fans as a "realistic" rival fan.

If you watch his posts for as long as I have you see a thread of "I'm better than you/my team is better than yours".

That would make too much sense. We have to trust the coaches, that they play the guys that deserve to play.

I think there will be 3 "starters" but we'll see 2 or 3 other guys getting on the field on a reg basis. There's a good bit of depth without experience.

Croom seems like he'd dominate on the position. Kind of a hybrid WR/TE. There won't be a lot of S or LB's that can cover him.

How this is even a battle is beyond me but that's why I don't make the big money.

How can he not be the #3 receiver? He gets beat out by not knowing the plays or by not giving enought effort in practice.....
