How doesn't Croom get the 3rd spot

It's a legit point.

The op is making an assumption about who is the better player without anything to go on.

If "butch gets it", the right guy will be on the field

No way is 99 being an a__! He's just stating the obvious --and is correct!

Croom will get his shot as will all of the guys...it will sort itself out! :salute:

Wasn't it Croom that the coach yelled at:

"You're 6'5" ! Stop Jumping!" ??

I believe Croom will play like a TE receiver more than a WR. I expect him to be in there a lot along with Pig and North.

1. I hope 18 has a great year!

2. The season hasn't started. There haven't been any games played. We still have opinions and thoughts on who would be the best players to put out there.

3. I don't come here to practice being nice to gator fans, or any other opposing fans for that matter. Sorry.

I'm with you on #3. To me, they are playing in our yard

Starters really don't matter. I think you will see a steady rotation of 6-7 WRs. In part because some of them do certain routes better than others. Also because there isnt a ton of separation from WRs. North looks like the best but he has had at least one bad day in camp; Pig, Devron, Croom, etc have all had their moments. Competition is good, fresh legs are great...wear down those DBs with relentless sprints down the field, even on running plays.

wasn't there an atticle saying Croom will move to the slot? may be mistaking.

Not that he is moving to the slot "position" necessarily. It was more to move him in from the outside so he would be picked up by a nickel back or LB to create a big mismatch. His route running isn't where Coach Z wants it. A good corner would shut him down even with a big size advantage. So the move inside would be to create a mismatch like New Orleans does with Jimmy Gramm at tight end. Croom can't play TE either
