Coming into the season I figure he would be the next hated Duke White guy. I had seen some of high school clips and he can talk a lot, but he hustles and is a good teammate. Doesn’t do anything stupid to his opponents .

He just turned 18 in December. I’d say it’s a little early to judge what he will or won’t be. All I know is that seasoned pros were raving about him in that camp last summer when he was going against them. They don’t give out those platitudes to a high school kid unless he has serious game.

That you would put Beasley and Edey in the same sentence with Carmelo and AD is laughable in itself. I would predict Flagg will be far better in the NBA than Beasley or Edey.

One of the rare Dukies that I actually really like. Dude is fun to watch. He flies around the court and can do it all.

Not fair! Complete offensive AND defensive alpha package rolling a 4.0 at DUKE. Only thing that would complete this nad kick in for him to start dating Yanet Garcia.

The best white player since Bird is probably Jokic, then Luka, but Flagg is good at basically everything and only turned 18 in December

It generally means someone like that comes around once in a generation, yes. Prospect-wise that's probably LeBron and Wemby

Best US prospect of the last decade. He nearly beat Team USA with the B-Squad at 17 years old.

We probably haven't seen a US prospect with this amount of polish since Bron.

He very possibly might be the best white American player since Bird. He would have to be a hell of a pro to be as good as Jokic and Doncic.

I know he’s not, but he’s an upperclassman on a team that’s been #1 for a good part of the year. He’ll also get an SEC bump bc the SEC is better than the ACC.

Broome is basically Jahlil Okafor who played for Duke 10 years ago. Except Okafor was a true freshman and not a 5th year senior.

I don’t agree with you exactly…but it’s not a long list of American prospects since LeBron I can think of that I’d have confidently rated higher than Flagg.

Oden
Durant

That’s probably the end of my list.

Then I think there is a list of 5 or so guys where it’s close to even. But not clear like the above.

HOT TAKE: Give me a healthy Chet ALL DAY, EVERY DAY!

I think Flagg is a point forward without one truly elite skill. Reminds me of a guy like Lamar Odom or Luol Deng. I do think Flagg will affect winning big time, but he won't have that jump-out trait that gets him in the top tier. He'll make a handful of all-star teams, average 17-7-5...but he's not going to be your #1 on a championship team. I don't get the comps to Webber, etc.
