Well,it’s widely known Saban handled the politics boosters directly and bluntly! Most people, most coaches even, aren’t even close to Saban’s personality and demands! You can bet everything you own that those boosters will start testing the new head coach! And with the NIL added it surely seemed like Saban was tired of it finally! DoBoer has ZERO clue what he’s getting into!

I’d say he gets at least five years. He’s a very good coach, unlike the Dubose/Shula/Price hires. I do question if can recruit at the top of the SEC level, he’s not had to do that before, but you’d have to be a pretty bad recruiter to not be able to recruit well at Bama. I don’t think Bama will get their pick of all the elite talent that Saban got them.

He’d better win pretty big by year 2, 3 at the latest.

Curry can attest to the pressure he & his family will endure with 8-4, 9-3 seasons but no titles. Hell curry won part of the SEC in 1989 & had to leave town

Just dominating instantly at whatever level he coaches. And his QBs succeed. I think he can make Sayin way better than he would’ve been under Rees.

Exactly. He seems to be a solid hire but solid won’t be good enough for Bama. 3 years.
