How long will Martin be at UT?

If he is not successful by 3 years he should be gone. No reason at all to be a failure that long. I'll give him a first season pass after, nothing.

Don't be a jerk we went the elite 8 for the first time ever the year before. I am not defending pearl or what he did but don't be stupid. If the only thing you remember for the past 6 years is a blowout then you are a what have You done for me lately fan.

Well if hes a white guy and he sucks he will be gone around 3. Ask Ty Willingham what the perks of being black are. He should say more years than I deserve.

Which is exactly why I watched the good old days of Peterson coaching, right? I must be a "Johnny come lately"

For every big win, it seems like we had a matching big loss under Pearl.

I would say we had more big wins than big losses imo. Most bad losses came this year, with the previous 5 years filled with some huge wins

No coach in UT history came close to Pearls accomplishments and while I hope Martin will change that my experience has been that UT has not been very successful in hireing BB coaches. I believe they made a big mistake in letting a proven winner go. Twenty or more wins every year of his career except two. Six straight NCAA tournaments, going 16 one year and 8 one year. Again no other coach has come close. I hope Martin does better, but the odds are very high that he will be a wash out.

not to mention he is gonna get slapped with show cause,,so he's not gonna be coaching anyways.

Please don't speak wisdom to him, his hatred for pearl has blinded him from the past 6 years. Our biggest accomplishment is a 30 point blowout according to him

I have noticed that when people on this forum are unable to refute an argument with facts, they resort to name calling and insults. Frankly that is the mark of a 3rd class intellect. Coach Fox used to say that obscenities are the result of a weak mind trying to express itself forcefully. He probably was correct.

Maybe when June rolls around you guys will finally figure out that Tennessee didn't fire Pearl lightly. They fired him because they didn't they had any other choice.
