How much better is UGA?

We might be jacking up Bama's stats now, but they rank 16 in total defense and UGA ranks 3rd. The only full game of theirs I watched was Oregon and they were stifling. They had lapses a couple of games ago. Pretty sure we get their best effort.

As a friendly Ga fan ,let me give you some facts about he dawgs. They are deep , Kirby smart is a defensive guru. Alabama lost because tn was able to make them one dimensional. Ga has several options at every position. They have been playing at 50% to allow all players to play and give others a chance to recoup. The offense is explosive and the defense is scrimmaging. Georgia has not only been scouting tn but they have been practicing and preparing for it since spring weekly. I am glad Tn won against Bama but it’s highly less likely they will succeed against ga .

I mean outside of an overrated Oregon team, GA has played nobody, sorry but it's true. You don't know how good your team is and until Kirby had top-end talent ya'll weren't beating the big boys on a regular basis. So Kirby might be a guru but swap rosters with TN and I guarantee you're not undefeated with Kirby calling the shots. I'm not saying he's not a great coach, but I think the coaching advantage is on TN's sideline.

Here’s the thing I watch what everything Ga does , he had built this program up there and it has taken 6 years . Heipel is having a great year yes but it’s his 2nd year . Georgia plays pretty much the same schedule yearly just not the same order. Smart spent 9 years under saban he will win . Tn hasn’t played anybody. Fla new coach, Lsu new coach, ot with Pitt who beat tn last year . Plus when I visited neyland last year it cleared our last of 3rd quarter. We was up . Nothing has changed on ugas end . Smart is simply putting things together for the last of season. All teams have cupcakes and giants to deal with. Being ready is the key . I expect ga to win it all in years to come but not this year . It will be a good game .

Yesterday was a day I will never forget as a vol fan, but Heup and this team should be moving on. We should not overlook anyone, but I imagine this week we will begin gameplannig for more that just UT Martin.

As we fans look ahead how much better do we think UGA is than the Bama team we faced yesterday? They have had some struggles, and only really shrugged it off recently. I think they are the most talented team in the SEC. Their TE Bowers is a monster. Bennet is a gamer, but nowhere near as good as Young IMO. Curious on others thoughts. I think it will he an equally tough game and see their defense causing us more issues than Bama.

Damn. Does anyone remember we play Kentucky before Georgia. Kentucky is gonna remember blast year. Forget Georgia till we beat the next two teams

I think that's pretty spot on. UGA's defense probably isn't quite as dominant as last year, but the athletes they have out there are still freaks. Their closing speed is insane.

Disagree. UGA has played no one of note, except for a suspect Oregon team playing it's first game under a new coach. And that new coach just so happened to be UGA's DC about 9-10 months prior. Bama has played, Texas, Arky, A&M, and now TN. Texas, Arky, and UT are all top 50 offenses.

UGA is nowhere near as well balanced as Bama. Stetson Bennett is a game manager in the mold of almost every UGA QB before him not named Stafford. He's nowhere near the talent that Bryce Young is. Now skill position, I would definitely put them right up there with Bama, but QB is the most important position on the field. Also, let's not act like if Jameson Williams doesn't go down in the NCG that Bama wouldn't have won that game. And UGA fans would have been calling for Brock Vandergriff to start week 1 of this year.

Any other QB in the country not named Bryce Young, CJ Stroud or Hendon Hooker play for Bama and UT wins by double digits. Crazy to say this in a loss but that’s the best QB performance I’ve ever seen against UT. Young was absolutely incredible.

It’s in Athens. I think Georgia’s secondary is better than Bama’s while I think Bama has the better pass rush. If Tennessee gets the pressure they did against Young on Bennett, Tennessee wins. There is no way in hell Bennett could make half the plays/throws Young had to make.

Gotta give Young credit. Kid played really well.
