How much better is UGA?

🤣🤣🤣🤣 You thinking that anyone on this site cares about your dumb opinion. When TN wins, you won't be around. And I would be willing to bet you'll probably end up being a TN fan like the bandwagon fans most of you are.
I state facts and when you lose for the 6th time in a row to the dawgs you will be cussing, I’ve been a Dawg fan longer than you’ve been alive . I will never be a vol fan matter of fact I live in tn and nobody even has orange T’s or go vols anything hadn’t seen it in years 😂😂

Gotta give Young credit. Kid played really well.

Like you said Stetson isn’t the same level QB and cant make those plays.
We also left maybe 2 TD’s on the field by missed hookups. Catch those and we put up almost 62 against Bama. And I won’t bring up the BS PI call that kept the drive alive for the Bammers. You know the one where even Gary goes “uhhhhh can we get a different angle their?”

You didn’t smoke anything 😂😂😂 we had 41 points and you had a garbage touchdown late on our 2nd string .. you had 17 points. Seems tn can only muster 14 -17 points. Enjoy watching the dawgs in Atlanta from your tv 👍 again

Tilman had 200 yards receiving, and we had nearly 400 yards of total offense. Yes that is getting smoked in the secondary. And that 2nd string defense that also got burned is now your 1at string. Doesn't exactly exude loads of confidence.

And lest we forget, Hooker was playing injured behind a patchwork OL.

Here’s the thing I watch what everything Ga does , he had built this program up there and it has taken 6 years . Heipel is having a great year yes but it’s his 2nd year . Georgia plays pretty much the same schedule yearly just not the same order. Smart spent 9 years under saban he will win . Tn hasn’t played anybody. Fla new coach, Lsu new coach, ot with Pitt who beat tn last year . Plus when I visited neyland last year it cleared our last of 3rd quarter. We was up . Nothing has changed on ugas end . Smart is simply putting things together for the last of season. All teams have cupcakes and giants to deal with. Being ready is the key . I expect ga to win it all in years to come but not this year . It will be a good game .

As a friendly Ga fan ,let me give you some facts about he dawgs. They are deep , Kirby smart is a defensive guru. Alabama lost because tn was able to make them one dimensional. Ga has several options at every position. They have been playing at 50% to allow all players to play and give others a chance to recoup. The offense is explosive and the defense is scrimmaging. Georgia has not only been scouting tn but they have been practicing and preparing for it since spring weekly. I am glad Tn won against Bama but it’s highly less likely they will succeed against ga .

Thanks for the facts, bro! Now that we know how awesome the dawgs are, the Vols can just stay home and watch UGA play itself. And since TN doesn't have to fly, it's highly more likely to be good for the climate. We all win.

Neither team scores North of 35 points. As a total team, GA is better than Bama. I think we struggle to put points on the board. I hate to say it, but home field advantage will likely determine this outcome. If we silence the crowd early, we win. If the game stays close, we lose.

Georgia obviously has ridiculous, elite level talent on both sides of the ball.

Their offensive production numbers are very similar to Tennessee but the way they get there is very different. They have elite WR’s but their top pass catchers are their 2 TE’s. Freakishly big and physical TE’s… Washington is 6’7 280lbs, catches the ball and runs like a darn wideout… Bowers and Washington are going to be a real problem for us.

Georgia has not played against an Offense like ours. Tillman will be back before we get the Dawgs. Hyatt and Tillman will blister those Dogs. The only way we don't is if Not So Smart puts two guys on the goal line for the entire game.

Athens is a difficult stadium to even be in . Neyland is a nice place . I have a better time there even as a ga fan honestly. It’s laid out better

Actually it does it’s called experience . Ga has the luxury of next man up it’s no big deal .

Except so far, it has been a big deal. You've given up significantly more points and yardage then through the same point a year ago. And while it's still been a very good defense, it's quite clearly down from last year.

Another thing that illustrates the reasons for my doubt... Even after beating 4 ranked teams in 6 games... even after beating Bama... ESPN's FPI has UT ranked 6th behind tOSU, Bama, UGA, Michigan, and Texas. And they aren't close behind those top 3. UT's FPI is 20.2. All three of those teams are 28+. Texas with two losses and no quality wins outside of the blowout of a bad OU team... is 20.5. Michigan whose only remotely good opponent was Penn State... is 22.2.

I have serious, serious doubts about any formula that produces that result. It would be bad enough if UT were "close"... they aren't.
I think the model issues speak to what good QB play can do for a team. I think Hooker is playing near the levels of recent championship QB's. He outplayed the recent Heisman winner as just one example and dismantled a good LSU on the road. The system is also greater than the sum of its parts. We will see what he does against UGA.

Yesterday was a day I will never forget as a vol fan, but Heup and this team should be moving on. We should not overlook anyone, but I imagine this week we will begin gameplannig for more that just UT Martin.

As we fans look ahead how much better do we think UGA is than the Bama team we faced yesterday? They have had some struggles, and only really shrugged it off recently. I think they are the most talented team in the SEC. Their TE Bowers is a monster. Bennet is a gamer, but nowhere near as good as Young IMO. Curious on others thoughts. I think it will he an equally tough game and see their defense causing us more issues than Bama.

Prepare one game at a time and do not look beyond. We still have some tough opponents left yet.

The thing it comes down to for me is the eye test. Clemson may win out but honestly, they arent a very good team. I think its likely that we finish ranked above them even if we have a loss. Michigan will lose to OSU or vice versa so that will drop one of those down. As for the Big 12 and Pac 12, it all depends on how their conference plays out. I think its safe to say that a one loss Pac-12 team would get blistered by a 1 loss SEC team. The Big 12 is a jumbled mess and honestly if TCU wins that conference, is it really enough to put them in when a lot of their conference will have multiple losses? i think we have to be considered if my scenario plays out. As long as we keep it close when we play the bullpups, (i think we win the game) i think it sets up very well for us. 4 top 25 wins with the possibility of beating 5 top 25 teams and losing to the number 1 team in the nation by less than 10 pts. How could we not make it. We would have a better resume than almost anyone in the country. Big 10 and the ACC are both down this year.

Georgia is a lot like Bama this year, soft and undisciplined. UGA played what, one ranked team in Oregon? And Oregon is not all the great and relook at that score as well. No doubt UGA will play well, but we’ll more than likely win imo.

Tennessee mindset is what is carrying them right now. Don't get me wrong we have the right system and some really good talent but this team believes they can score 40 to 50 points on anybody and nobody is changing there minds. Not only are they doing it defense is feeding off of it. Our defense has improved light years ahead of where they were last year and you can tell they are getting better by the week. The Georgia game is just a hard one to call and I would say come back to the conversation in 3 weeks I am sure the picture will be much clearer just too hard to call right now.

With our passing game, we can beat ANYBODY. If our OL gives Hooker the time he had against bama, we will beat jawja. I think staying composed, not letting the crowd noise cause pre-snap penalties, will be key. We get out to a lead and we can take the crowd out of it somewhat. But we'll have to focus on kentucky first and not get ahead of ourselves.

We might be jacking up Bama's stats now, but they rank 16 in total defense and UGA ranks 3rd. The only full game of theirs I watched was Oregon and they were stifling. They had lapses a couple of games ago. Pretty sure we get their best effort.

They are also 4th in total offense where we are now 1st. They will be the most well balanced team we have faced. View attachment 502415View attachment 502408View attachment 502415

I think Georgia is better than Bama. I think their D is better. However Georgia doesn’t have Young. Young was the only thing that kept Bama in that game and allowed them to keep pace as much as they did.

Tennessee beat Bama by 3 and gifted Bama 7………is Georgia 11 points better than Bama……who knows.

But I knows they ain’t gots Young.

My opinion (which don’t count for much) they HAVE to keep Tennessee from scoring a ton………..because they don’t have a Bryce Young.
