Donald Trump really has argued in favor of the FCC pulling the broadcast licenses of CNN and NBC, and then had the balls to complain about the censorship of Twitter, and how they supposedly violated his own 1st Amendment rights. IN FACT, TRUMP HAS EVEN MADE BOTH OF THOSE ARGUMENTS FROM WITHIN THE SAME SPEECH !

What is worse? Republicans might even nominate this idiot a 3rd time.

Is what those Disney executives said, really worth having this fight over? This is so petty and stupid. DeSantis picked a big fight, which has no end in sight, over something very silly. A handful of Disney leaders exercised their right to free speech, and had the audacity to express a negative opinion concerning one piece of Republican Party legislation.

Libs act like this is actually about Disney. They totally misapprehend what Ron just did. Win or lose regarding Reedy Creek, DeSantis has already won in the game he was playing. This is 100% about increasing his odds of winning the 2024 Republican nomination for President. And based on his polling among REPUBLICANS and his fundraising numbers, he has accomplished that goal. Actually humbling a self righteous multi billion dollar woke Clown college company long the way would just be a fringe benefit

That's cool, but I notice that you didn't take issue with anything that was said.

Most of DeSantis's supporters are either avoiding discussion of the " Great Disney Dust-up", or they are admitting that Ron is being a little petty about this whole thing. A handful of Disney execs publicly disagreed with him ... nothing more.

So, you also admit, that Ron DeSantis's agenda here is politically-motivated? He isn't truly standing on principle, but rather trying to pander to his base, by picking a fight with a "woke company" ?

That's cool too, but in the past, DeSantis has tried to present himself as a champion of free speech. That will be a much harder case to make from now on. Calling either Trump or DeSantis a supporter of free speech is rather ridiculous at this point. The only speech they support are opinions which are in accord with their own.

He is playing chess while you are judging him on checkers. He is trying to win the Republican nomination for President. As a result of why you apparently view as a tactical mistake, he is now the most talked about Republican in the country, his popularity with the base that will actually pick the nominee is through the roof, and his fundraising totals are skyrocketing. What exactly is the downside? Even if he loses to Disney in court, things just go back to exactly the way they were pre groomer gate. He is playing the big game, not just Tallahassee scrimmage.

Nothing of course. They just can’t handle seeing another Republican not afraid to fight. They thought Trump was the only one and that they were done with fighting. The Dems thought/hoped we would go back to the Mitt Romney’s. It is tough on them so give them a Little slack
