Disney "sexualizes" kids, eh?Vengeful? Government shouldn’t support or offer special perks to any business, organization, person, or whatever that sexualizes kids.
Disney "sexualizes" kids, eh?
Objecting to the "Parental Rights in Education" bill is hardly sexualizing kids. LOL.
The Republican stance towards Disney, shepherded by DeSantis, is the right-wing's version of cancel culture. They are over-reaching with hyperbolic rhetoric and distortions (such as the one from up above) in effort to retaliate against a business which has opposed them on policy. That is a very similar tactic in nature, to what Republicans have referred to as "cancel culture", whenever Democrats do something like this.
The harder conservatives try to convince us that Republicans are more tolerant than Democrats, of people who disagree with them, the more you prove that just the opposite is true.
You have said some questionable things, but since they're beside the point, I won't address them.My god they’re losing their s*** because a bill was passed to prevent small kids from being subjected to mental illness. Gender dysphoria and homosexuality is a mental illness along with any other abnormal alphabet condition. Eliminating pronouns and all the other stupidity just to pander to less than 1% of the population isn’t being “inclusive” it’s just f****** dumb. Nobody cares who you poke or what you want to pretend you want to be but it isn’t normal and everyone doesn’t have to participate in your delusions.
It’s so important to republicans to be vengeful that the results don’t matter. They claim some supposed moral high ground regarding safeguarding the constitution and limited government involvement but then cheer on this move. Results don’t matter it’s just looking tough on libs that matters. As usual, it’s all hat no cattle.

That’s not what he’s saying. So are you Including the Apostle Paul in your grouping of „evangelical Christians“ making „absurd arguments“?

[/QUOTE]At some point doing the right and moral thing becomes more important than money.
We can only hope that suburban white women are waking up to what unchecked progressive filth means to their child’s education.

Do you support free speech? Do you believe that the Republican Party supports free speech? If so, then you should be able to see for yourself, how Gov. Ron DeSantis is being inconsistent here.Did you vote for Biden? If you did then put re supporting exactly what you’re talking about.
And that has nothing to do with the poster to whom I responded. But yes I believe in free speech, whether I like it or not. No one in DC, well I’ll go with almost no one as surely there’s at least 1, truly believes in free speech. They will all switch sides on a topic at the drop of a hat to their political benefit.Do you support free speech? Do you believe that the Republican Party supports free speech? If so, then you should be able to see for yourself, how Gov. Ron DeSantis is being inconsistent here.
Sure, DeSantis believes in free speech ... as long as the speech being expressed involves opinions which are in complete agreement with his policies. Otherwise, DeSantis tries to suppress that speech with acts of political retaliation.

Except for the fact that Donald Trump is just as inconsistent as Ron DeSantis when it comes to the subject of free speech. The odds appear to be overwhelming that one of those two men, will be the nominee of the Republican Party for President in 2024.... So, maybe that double standard is what Republican Party voters want?He should switch parties, he’d fit right in with the Dems.
They will always tell you who they fear. The smarter ones have finally figured out that DeSantis is the nightmare candidate for them. A conservative who doesn’t back down but unlike Trump has an actual working brain.

Do you realize that Donald Trump sued Facebook, YouTube, Google and Twitter for censorship ...
... after he had lobbied the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), to pull NBC's broadcast license (which they don't even have, by the way), while he was the President of the United States ?
Trump suggests challenging NBC's broadcast license
^^^ I would be willing to bet that a majority of Republican Party voters would not be capable of understanding how those two positions are incongruous with each other.
The only thing that Donald Trump understands is how to be a hypocrite ...Trump understands how the world works but simply didnt understand partisanship and political governance. Desantis is less charismatic but has a far FAR better grip on how to use the mechanics of government to move your agenda forward.
Trump is used to being a CEO, so he provides guidance and expects under managers to make it happen. That is exactly right for business, where you can have a certain expectation of having a shared goal in the organization. That is not true in DC permanent state at all.
Desantis understands this much better and by all accounts makes sure his staffing has similar political goals. Point is, its not about loyalty merely to Desantis personally, its first loyalty to the political agenda he serves. That is much more reliable.
Thats why the Dems fear that, because they understand that very well themselves and they always do the same thing. So I would say they hate Trump more but fear Desantis more.
