Some thoughts from a family friend of the Freeze's.

Some background info: I'm from Senatobia, MS, where Hugh played his final year of high school football. My family is from Independence MS, which is where Hugh is from (10 minutes from Senatobia). Hugh is a family friend, as his father and my grandfather have been good friends for over 60 years while attending the same church the entire time. My uncle was Hugh's offensive co-coordinator at Briarcrest before Hugh got the job with Arkansas State. The last time I spoke with Hugh was days after his firing at Ole Miss, so it's been a couple of years.

Prior to Hugh getting the Ole Miss job, and perhaps even since, Hugh's "dream job" was always to coach at Tennessee. He loves Ole Miss, but had made it clear to people that his goal was to one day coach at UT.

Given his excellent results while coaching at Ole Miss, it'd obviously be a home-run hire for us. That said, Hugh Freeze is a snake. He is a liar, a manipulator, and an absolute con man. I have very little respect for the man (for reasons prior to him being at Ole Miss and ever since).
It would be nice to have the kind of results that he could bring to UT, but it really does give me a bad taste in my mouth. But at the end of the day, I suppose what matters is results.

I'm an old-fashioned guy. For me, what matters at the end of the day is the character of the young men that UT turns out.

I believe that to be true. I don't think it will take longer than two weeks. I also don't think that's a revelation worth broadcasting.

If they're going to announce an internal hire or someone like Enos, it's probably better to wait because the announcement would probably do more harm than good. If it's Freeze, you announce ASAP.

yes dates are changing, age is apparent, still states it is freeze, will disclose the legendary Vol if not freeze (doubtful) played a BB game with Henderson, Wilson and Haynesworth. Will not post if wrong (moving decision) short timer to Volnation and made a Rookie Mistake starting a thread based on Legendary Opinion. Hope his basketball buddies are not his sources because they were wrong for the most part on Gruden......

Typical example of a troll or of Vol Fans trolling themselves......who cares....Always Check the posters stats.....very rarely happens..... this has gone from before SEC Championship to when it happens I was right when it happens.....SEC will not allow these types on announcements on Championship days.....because it can present itself as an unfair advantage in recruiting....Need to secure Freeze before Alabama throws there hat into the ring.....
