Assume Freeze is the top choice. As such, CJP, but more importantly, AD Fulmer would want to make sure safe guards (i.e., legal verbiage, stipulations, etc.) are in place to provide more specifics than normal with such a hire. Maybe this would require additional negotiations between each parties representative? Thus, a prolonged process?

I don't have a clue if this would even be something to consider, solely wondering "out loud". Thoughts?

The truth about the sources is this:
Hiring involves contracts. When money is involved both parties try to get the best deal and will keep their dealings very close to their chest. Therefore the only people who know anything concrete have a financial reason to keep quiet.
So in short...no one knows anything until those making the deal wish it. Once signed, everyone will know because there is no reason to hide it.
Bottom line- there are no “sources”
