Good call. I actually liked that post. Not my intention to bash butch. I think he's doing good things. I'm just surprised nobody even talked about because it could have cost us the game in the sec

agreed...but we either need to upgrade at qb or do a better job of developing what we've got. not trying to bash. for those who remember d.dickey and a. kelley in the 80's, they were "good" qb's that did some great things at ut. gbo

I just can't figure out why we fall in live so easily after the last two coaches who both made big promises and had good recruiting classes

not true. he was a heck of an ol coach. as a head coach you rely more on your assistant coaches. got alittle complacent yes. for the most part he was a good coach

because as I said earlier, its only a bad call because the ball wasn't caught. He was looking to extend the lead before the half and then get the ball back. The difference is this coaching staff knows what its doing so that goes from being a "dumb call" under the Dooley Farce to being a "ballsy call that didn't work out" under the Butch Era.

He made some extra points and a FG and had a nice punt and had a punt blocked. I'm not arguing with you about Jones, but I'm confused about how anything Parlady did is evidence that Jones is a championship coach?

That's something you do playing your brother in madden not coaching for real. My original comment was why does butch get a pass because that was a terrible call

Yes they did. My feeling after the first half was that WKU might actually come back to beat them. The first half O was pathetic.... then they come out with almost 300 yds in the second half.

Worley still needs to figure out how to lead receivers though. He's missing too many potential big plays.

Oh... and what was Croon doing? That may be the best ball Worley has thrown all year.

Scooch over and make room for me on the bandwagon, Volly. When WKU jumped offsides and nobody on our team moved, I felt a hope spring up in me that this year is going to be different. I swore after Lane Kiffin, I would never let myself expect too much from any coach again, but today I am drinking the Big Orange Kool-Aid again and it tastes GOOD!

because, as I said before, if it worked, everyone would be saying what an amazing and unexpected call it was. It didn't hurt us in the end. It creates for an exciting game. Obviously butch did it in this game so its something that a coach would do for real. I like that our Coach has balls and is a risk taker.
