I was not an Obama supporter until about February of this year. I have watched my country almost destroyed by a president who not only did not have any real foreign policy experience but he was very naive for someone who has an IVY LEAGUE education. He surrounded himself with power hungry men who attempted to dismantle our nation and traditions one by one, and increased the power of the executive branch tenfold. The legacy of George W. Bush IMHO will be the man who destroyed the credibility of the G.O.P. and led us into an unwise war based on faulty intel.

This election is the Democrats to lose! The only person that can defeat Senator Obama is Obama. If Biden can stay on message and not put his foot in his mouth and Obama can stick to the big rallies and speeches across the nation, he will win the election with a huge popular vote and a narrow electoral college victory. Forget about public policy debates and who the VP is on the ticket, the bottom line is who can lead this nation?

It has been since 2000.............

Bush was the greatest thing ever to happen to the GOP because he will break up the good ol' boy network that runs the party!

So you don't like the current POTUS b/c lack of foreign policy and yet you are voting for someone with no foreign policy experience. Interesting.

And so you are willing to make the little to no foreign policy mistake again?

If you thought government was expanded under Bush just wait until we establish socialized medicine and other social policies.

I think there is a lot of truth to that statement.

What does population have to do with any thing?

Naturally you ignore her dealings with territorial boundries with regards Russia and Canada.

Are you serious? Just because a state borders a country doesn't make someone a foreign policy expert. Hey, North Carolina borders the Atlantic Ocean does that make me an expert in marine biology? Does the mayor of a town of 3,000 people have the same responsibilities as the mayor of New York City?

so to sum up...

Dem. presidential nominee has no experience running a state, city or business and has little foreign policy experience.

Repub. VP nominee has run a town and state with minimal FP experience.

Bush has sowered me to the Republican Party! I like John McCain but I will not vote for another Republican again! I could be totally wrong about this but I believe Obama is the smartest guy in the room most of the time. He can listen to his advisor's and make an educated and informed decision. Bush is the worst president in my lifetime... maybe in American history!

I want us to get out of Iraq, take care of business with Osama Bin Laden, and close the books on the so-called "War on Terror." I don't feel like McCain has this as his top priority. I believe he might have been an effective president in 2000 but he is too old to get my vote today.

Do you base that on his dealings with Rev. Wright?

Is foreign policy all that matters? I don't recall hearing one word last night about the economy or what their plans are to do anything about it. Oops...I forgot, the republicans don't think the economy needs fixing.

how will obama fix the economy? oh that's right, he's going to tax every employer and give tax breaks to people who don't pay taxes in the first place.

yeah, he's the smartest when reading from a teleprompter. how long did it take him to respond when russia went into Georgia? it took him 3 days to finally make a response that didn't make him sound like an idiot. 1st response, he compared Russia going into Georgia with us going into iraq. How ignorant is that.

you probably need a president that will hold your hand through life and hussein obama will surely provide you with that.

I am a former officer and my son is a 2004 USMA (i.e. West Point) graduate and has a bronze star. He spent 15 months in Iraq and our cousin is on his 4th tour in Iraq. There is no war on Terror... it has been a war against Saddam and a war against Al qaeda but not a "War on Terror." You can't fight a war against a "method." That's like saying I am fighting a war on crime. There will always be crime, you can't defeat crime or terrorism but you can defeat a man or woman who commits crimes. It is a stupid play on words that the Bush administration has used repeatedly to justify their actions. The war plans to invade Iraq began before 9-11.

How many attacks have there been on U.S. soil since 9/11? Something must be going right.

1.) I never claimed it did.

2.) No it does not make you an expert on marine biology.

3.) Yes, the administrative responsibilities are the same.

There is no hope for you! :)

:banghead2:

Perhaps you did not understand, because he was almost as bad as Woodrow Wilson, this will cause the GOP to fracture and rid themselves of politicians like Bush.

That is a good thing, because Bush is a hack.

A criminal organization... nothing more. They are not a nation... you go to wars against nations, not crime syndicates. You can't invade a country because they have criminals operating inside their borders.

The US has been doing this for quite a long time.
