I am worried re: QB's

We can *****, moan, and speculate all we want, but if you think Peterman is not in the race at this point you're lying to yourself.

He's in the race for 3rd string. I'd give him the nod over Wegzyn right now. If he really focuses and keeps working hard I think he can have that position sewn up by the open practice next Saturday.

Vol fans are so hungry for a winning season, some have foolishly convinced themselves that the team is ok at QB. I would take a senior J Crompton over the current roster.

Well no s***. Crompdaddy finally turned in to what we needed his whole career that season.

I don't favor one over the others but the evidence is there that Peterman is getting a shot.

CBJ is obviously annoyed with Worley and Dobbs due to the fact that they are letting it happen. But it's happening.

Now he just needs to take advantage.

Look, CBJ said it's an open competition so I'll assume that Nathan is getting the "same shot" as Worley and Dobbs.....and Wegzyn. If Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise and Jones actually names Peterman the starter then I'll come here, eat crow and close my eyes and cross my fingers that we don't see anything remotely in the same stratosphere as his Fla performance, wish him well and pull for him like crazy. I'll hope and pray that he's the second coming of Heath Shuler, Peyton Manning and Condredge Holloway all rolled into one. However, as you can see, my level of confidence in that not happening is very, very high.

Any chance we can hire Lane Kiffin for QB coach? That'd probably be the best move we could make.

Since there is not a decision at QB 3 weeks before kick off, you know that raises the %'s. The percentage that we will have more then 1 QB. The percentage that we will have a dual QB game. I am thinking LSU, 1 passer, 1 runner not sure if all 3 would be a good idea.

Last year Worley was just efficient enough to get a win vs uSce, he SHOULD be better this year with all the work, Right? I am concerned more about QB than any other position. We cannot under and overthrow these receivers like we did last year... HOPING, FINGERS CROSSED it's just early practice sessions but even when I watch the film and no one is covering the receivers we (Dobbs also) over/underthrow.. HOW CONCERNED ARE YOU ?????? I will hang up and listen.

Coaches speak to maximize the competition! Worley is doing fine. No worries!
Go Vols!

If Peterman is named QB (He was best in red zone drills) people on here are going to lose their f***ing minds.

Several months ago I would have lost it for sure. Now, I am becoming strangely at ease with this possibility.

Maybe it is because I can witness prettier throws in my backyard from the neighborhood kids than anything we have seen from (admittedly limited...) video clips.

For all of you, dammit, make Worley the quarterback guys, maybe this is why!
I don't think what you are saying will help. As a player if you want to "be the man", than go "be the man!" It is called earning a starting position for a reason. Each practice CBJ gives each of them the opportunity to do just that.

Talking about what's bad about the first week of fall camp.........it's mostly the crying negnitaries, soiling their tightie whities because timing's off between qb's and receivers. Here's the news flash: This goes on with most teams the first week! Do y'all want CBJ kissin' their butts and bragging about them the first week? I'd say most of you haven't gone through boot camp. Also, what's with the cruel, personal condemnation of Nathan Peterman. It's a bully's mentality that kicks a fellow while he's trying to get back on his feet, cruelly predicting things they don't really know. The kid's talented and had a lousy game under the absolutely worst of situations. I'm betting I've played more football than most of you and, after watching his little bit of time against Oregon, I know Mr. Peterman deserves far more dignity from fans than some of you crybabies are displaying. Fortunately, all sites have over-the-top negnitaries, so these young athletes are considering the source. My prediction: Far better qb play for UT in 2014.

No, you're not getting it.

Dude.

We have videos that are 10:00 long. I don't care if practice is 2 hours long.

We have snippets of video evidence that show that the situation is dire.

SDS just said we're going 4-8.

Worley can't complete a pass.

Dobbs has no eyebrows.

Dude.

Seriously.

We've all seen the practice clips and we've all played NCAA 2013 enough to know this team is bad.

SDS also saod the UT/Candy game is a real rivalry and is called"Hatred in the Ills" ... said no one else, anywhere, ever.

Don't curse god when your prayers aren't answered.

We are a 5 win team at best if the QB play doesn't get better. The running game will be a challenge with a new OL so Bajakian needs to lean on all this talent at the WR position.

I think you may be right, after all, some predictions have the Vols 4-8......5-7 is more what I'm expecting
