Warlick started sitting DeShields, I'm assuming, not just because she commits too many turnovers but also because her shooting was bad. She had a series of games in which she was, say, 4-14 with 6+ turnovers. That's a BIG net negative for a game. She was good tonight--and, YES, when your best player only plays 24 minutes a game your team is ****** up. I'm sure there was another reason for sitting DeShields--her constant sourpuss, unhappy attitude. I'm pretty sure her crap attitude has dragged down the team this year.
The team is a freakin mess. Warlick and her staff are a mess. Cooper played 3/4 of the game--why? She's terrible against zone defenses, and she was 3-15 today. Why did she play so much? It was just the end of the game that cost us, when you score only a pathetic 18 points in the first half and are chasing the game all afternoon, you are obviously making it very hard to win.
Also, Dunbar had 2 treys in a mere 8 minutes of playing time. Another Warlick screw-up. She should be playing more--that is obvious. Our offense sux, our offense against zones is pathetic--and yet our best 3-point shooter sits for all but 8 minutes. Our coaches are idiots.
