Major upsets are definitely more likely in basketball. A better comparison of UT basketball vs UK football is that UT basketball has actually been nationally relevant for the better part of the past 7 seasons; we're barely a .500 team this year, but we've done enough to show that we're not going away. UK has been nationally relevant in football for a grand total of one week in the past 30+ years (hosting GameDay vs Fla a week after beating LSU).
I'm all ears.
Uhm beat Florida twice and Uconn once in the same season, no small accomplishment. Projected to finish last and most likely will finish 5th or better in the league. Have a shot at a NCAA tournament bid with a good finish.
We are way ahead of where anyone with a brain, this excludes you, thought we would be this year. So yes we have shown that we aren't disappearing from our recent success we have had with pearl here, in fact were building off of it and continuing the run of being relevant.
Oh and throw in snagging a 5* recruit out of Memphis over UK, pretty impressive season if you ask me, we are clearly relevant. If you took off the blue glasse you would see this.
Now I'll hang up and listen and you can explain how uk football is relevant for the last 7 years and is showing signs of continuing it........
UConn? I didnt know a win over a unranked team thats in the lower half of the conference was a big deal. Florida twice---Florida sucks, UK's walk ons could have beat them. And Stokes not going to UK was a big get? He wouldnt have even seen the floor. He even said the main reason for going to UT was that he'll play right away. UT still lost to Oakland, Charleston, Austin Peay and creamed by Memphis. If you call that signs of great things in the future, I'll have what you're drinking.

UConn tanking with Calhoun on medical leave doesn't take away from what the win was worth that day. And, 'Florida sucks'? Really? So, they don't have an NBA roster like KY. Is the bolded part sarcasm, or is this another example of you 'supporting' an argument with a bunch of made-up crap? Stokes would have cracked KY's rotation. They don't need him this year, but he would have been a starter next season. Only someone who is totally ignorant of everything in the world besides KY's last and next games would not view Stokes as a big recruit for any college. And, UT is a completely different team now than they were in December.

Florida is the most overrated team in the top 25. They have no interior and just rely on the 3. Didnt they lose to Rutgers a few weeks ago? They have no business in the top 20 and no way in hell will they do anything in the tourny. UConn is awful, with Calhoun and without. Sorry to take away from your wins, but I call it like I see it.
No, Strokes wouldnt have been in UK's rotation this year. Gilchrist and Jones would not be sitting the bench for Stokes, sorry. As for next year...I seriously doubt he'd start, but he'd see the floor. If UK gets Shabazz AND Noel, no he wouldnt start. Poythress is better than Stokes, so that only leaves 2 spot open Stokes could play, and if UK lands Shabazz or Noel he'll be sitting behind them too.
UF should have dropped a lot lower imo.
You get dumber and dumber and I really am wondering where it stops. Florida shouldn't be top 20? Seriously. Yes they lost a 2 point game at rutgers, DIDN'T KY LOSE TO INDIANA? BAHAHAHAHA, yea theyre a bunch of world beaters there. Are they even top 25? What an embarrassment judge, Indiana is the most overhyped team in the country, page out of your book you like that? Onc again Uconn game is very simple, their rpi was and is higher than ours, therefore it's a good win moron, really not that hard to realize is it?
It's sad you don't even know your own team! Stokes would play C in your system cal said as much himself while recruiting him, and if you dont think he'd okay over Vargas you sir are pathetic. Oh now it's IF we land them, I thought both were UK leans? Im waiting on those links still as well as stokes saying the main reason he came here was for playing time.
Indiana loss was early when UK was still learning, and no teams go undefeated these days...but the Cats are close
Stokes would play center? hahaa...ok. I'm supposed to believe that? UK hasnt had a center since the Tubby years. Would he play this year? lol: Would he play next year? Possibly, but it depends on if Shabazz and Noel go to UK. If they both go, he'd be the water boy. If just Noel goes, noo.
This fits us perfectly. I really couldnt care less about softball, tennis or any other sports. And I'd rather be great at one sport rather then just mediocre at a lot of sports.
I never realized not winning a NCAA championship in over 10 years is considered great. :lolabove:
UT has had 6 NCAA championships in multiple sports since UK's last one. Overall UT has 65 Reg season SEC championships, UK has 53 (44 in basketball hahaha) Only 8 total SEC championships of 53 have come since 1998, 6 basketball. UT has had 21 SEC championships since then, 0 from football....
*insert UK cheerleading comment*

You are a worthless homer.
Call it like you see it?
Let's review how you see it: 'Stokes didn't choose UK; therefore, he must not be as good as anyone who signs on with the mighty Calipari and his henchman World Wide Wes.'
